This was not going to be political At least not mostly. But last week, Brown University joined the growing group willing to put their own expediency ahead of the lives and well-being of trans people. This is my letter to my alma mater.

My blog--which wasn't supposed to be political--has its first post. And it's political. Thanks for that, Brown. I'm sure my 3 followers here, and on Substack will be outraged.

@erininthemorning.com does her usual excellent job debunking the HHS report. A must-read in preparation for the next wave of assault by this administration.

Well said, @erininthemorning.com: "[N]o transgender person should feel they must flee the United States." But many will rightly decide that, as simple acts like filling out a form, using a bathroom, and playing with your peers become illegal, staying is untenable and dangerous. They need sanctuary.

You can help people learn about trans participation in sports. Its a nuanced topic that has lots of room for growth for a lot of people. I've had this conversation with probably over a hundred people at this point and unless they are diehard transphobes, this is usually how you teach them.
