Maybe this model was defensible when we had 2 mainstream pro-democracy parties. It doesn’t work with a far right authoritarian party that just lies. You become an amplifier for propaganda.

President Trump has just launched another illegal attack on Iran after he claimed the attack in June 'obliterated' Iran’s nuclear program. He has not gotten authorization from Congress to go to war. That power belongs to Congress, not the President. Americans do not want war in the Middle East.
