I have spent the past two days assembling IKEA furniture to help my niece move into her new apartment.
So many hex wrenches.

The blurb says, "This was the book I needed. The fun, heisty bits create a tasty coating for real conversations about revolution. Intimate, sweeping, and fully of flight." - Mary Robinette Kowal, USA TODAY bestselling author of The Calculating Stars
Flightless has been sent to the printer by @apbooks.bsky.social! It's surreal to be DONE with this story about striving and navigating an unjust world. It invites us to ask what possibilities we can create if we release the dregs society offers. I was graced with a blurb by @maryrobinettekowal.com
My next author email comes out Thursday AM. It includes some fun character art by @rochellesanch.bsky.social, a save-the-date for my book signing with @maryrobinettekowal.com @davering.bsky.social and @tangentgeoff.bsky.social, and some behind-the-scenes extras! Sign up: www.marieparks.com/contact/
You are an absolute delight and I love this book.
I had so much fun talking with @maryrobinettekowal.com about the Regency Era and my book, Rebel of the Regency. Watch the video of our Q&A here: www.patreon.com/posts/152221...
A little jealous of that.
That's very cool! Good luck with the interview.
Also, I learned "slow is fast" from actual astronauts.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it.

This is Aly. She just learned about capitalism. Certainly not a perfect system, but if that is what it takes to put chippies on the table, she understands. 13/10 (IG: alythebichon)

@libbyann13.bsky.social The answer to the meatloaf question. When she was a tiny little kitten, her tum would get full and CatDad said she looked like a meatloaf. So that became a nickname.
I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.
And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
I really need to start posting them elsewhere. I just spent a week with Elsie and another button cat and it was revelatory.
Oh wow. Yeah, you really need to give Orange Kitty buttons.
That's so cool!
