Least chaotic interaction with a cat:
A side by side comparison of the the official Gardevoirite art on the left vs my render from the original post on the right.
For comparison:
I didn't like the way the Mega Stone looked, so here's a new version I'm working on.
It looks pretty accurate from the front, but it something about how it looks from the side bothers me so I'll be working on that.

That's actually how I started years ago too
Then slowly those model modifying "skills" turned into actual modeling skills.
A 3D render of a "four-sided Diamond" shaped hair clip with a Gardevoirite Mega Stone in the center. The mega stone looks like a cat-eye glass marble with green and pink core. There's a screencap from the official animated short of a Gardevoir wearing the hair clip on the top right corner.
I made the Mega Gardevoir hair clip from the "Another Day with Gardevoir" Poketoon short

A screenshot of the 3D software Blender with a Gardevoir model. The model shows the head/face area and is facing towards the camera. The focus is on the lips. The color of the lips is a soft pink.
Lips, do they work with this style? I hope so.
I tried to keep them subtle and cute so as to not go completely overboard, even if it's a bit different than the original design, which doesn't have them at all.

A screenshot of the 3D software Blender with a Gardevoir model. The model shows the head/face area and is facing towards the camera. The focus is on the eyes, and the eyelashes. The color of the eyes is a vertical gradient from darker at the top to lighter pink, and the color of the eyelashes is black.
Did some blocking for her eyelashes.
I think they look pretty.

23 and my bones are turning to dust as we speak, yes, and yes.
A screenshot of the 3D software Blender with a Gardevoir model. The model shows the head/face area and is facing towards the camera. The focus is on the eyes, which are larger than, and do not fit in the character's eye socket. The color of the eyes is a vertical gradient from darker at the top to lighter pink.
For context, this is how it looks like without lattice modifier.

A screenshot of the 3D software Blender with a Gardevoir model. The model shows the head/face area and is facing towards the camera. The focus is on the eyes, which fit nicely in the characters eye socket, thanks to Blender's lattice modifier feature. The color of the eyes is a vertical gradient from darker at the top to lighter pink.
Lattice modifier in Blender is the GOAT
It literally solves the biggest problem I faced in my previous Gardevoir model, trying to fit a spherical eye in the very unconventional eye shape that Gardevoir has.
Look at how nicely it fits.

Working on the body was definitely easier so I did some more work and some blocking.
Arm/leg joints need extra attention for deformations so this will need more work, some more support loops and refinement.

Agreed. It's a beautiful movie.
I took some time off and finally watched #KPopDemonHunters
I enjoyed it a lot.
Kinda kept reminding me of #KuboandtheTwoStrings which, also great!
Apart from the dress, the head area is the most time consuming part of #Gardevoir to model.
And I think I did a pretty decent job with it.
The Gardevoir body is kind of simple in comparison. But perhaps I'll do a bit more work on the proportions and detailing.

Some more progress on my #Gardevoir Helia (Lea)'s model.

A screenshot containing two instance of Blender side by side. Both instances contain wireframe views of 3D models of a PokΓ©mon, Gardevoir. Both models only show the head/face area and are facing towards the camera. On both models, the face has three spikes of increasing size on both sides. The left instance contains the new iteration with a more natural, horn-like spikes. And the right instance contains the old iteration with sharp geometric triangular spikes.

Working on a new new iteration of my #Gardevoir @gardevoirhelia.bsky.social model. Why? Because!! π΅βπ«π΅βπ«
Or maybe not? π€
Still gathering thoughts on the more natural looking face spikes on Gardevoir instead if just βοΈTRIANGLESβΆοΈ

Also, pretty!!
It's-a you! Ren-io!
I'm sorry that my response was timed, replied to, and worded improperly.
It was more so supposed to come off as "nervous intern notifying Captain D" but if it came off as bratty, or implied that you were in any way "silly" or "dumb", that's on me, I'm sorry. I saw the relevance as "Captain D is talking about Blender and supporting Blender"
Uhhhh, Captain.. you've also been following the wrong Blender account for the past (however long you've been following it)
The official blender account is @blender.org not @blender3d.bsky.social
A hand holding a glossy black mug. The mug has a 2D vector illustration of a shiny Gardevoir (Helia, or Lea) wearing a red outfit. The mug is held on the left hand, and the illustration only has the outlines colored. There is a laptop in the background with the same illustration as a wallpaper, also with just the outlines colored.

I have been turned into a marketable ceramic mug
