Saying 'bombing schools is wrong' should be the easiest thing to say in the world.
I remember learning about the Hays Code in film school and how it made it so that any amoral protagonist had to meet karmic justice by the end of the film and going “wow, that’s really silly” and then once a week I log online and see people argue that we need stuff like that now or it’s problematic
Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and we’re doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs
“It is a tragic fact that hatred and war have become influential factors in our national economy, and if the present trend continues, we may soon discover that our enemies are more valuable than our friends.”

whats keeping me writing is the idea that ok, I’m not ever gonna be Alan Moore or Garth Ennis or (pick your favourite) but also they will never ever write exactly the thing I’m currently interested in and maybe it’s only me interested in it, but I’m also the only one writing it.

Comic. [Person 1 talking to a person with shoulder-length hair and a person with a white hat.] PERSON 1: I would never get an electric vehicle. Sure, they sound great, but what do you do if the battery runs out of charge? [caption] I felt pretty silly when someone finally explained tome that EVs are rechargeable.

I personally believe that programming and coding in general counts as art- you need talent, vision technique and creativity to do it well. I think that counts as creative art, imho.
so it always feels so odd to me to see programmers love vibe-coding. Why are they ok with it but we artists aren't
Imagine waking up in a foreign country and the person you love has vanished.
