It makes cool screenshots with hundreds of lights... leaking, I don't see how that could be useful for something more than a tech demo

The issue I have with Many Lights technics is that they don't come with Many Shadows
What's the point of bindless textures on OpenGL? Seriously, you don't have access to GL_EXT_nonuniform_qualifier as it's for Vulkan only, do you have to hope that people don't run your software on an AMD GPU?
METAL GEAR & METAL GEAR 2: Solid Snake (PC)
End of both games
The first time I play a Metal Gear (Solid included) game, they are really excellent!
And now sliders for some numerical values.
Live color editing on NutshellEngine's editor!
"I used Claude and it programmed this thing quicker and better than I would ever do!" I have no idea how people are posting this and not realizing what that means about their skill level
Final Fantasy VII REMAKE INTERGRADE (PC)
End of the game
A fine game, the second half of the game is atrocious though.
Now, what's missing is a way to make UI from the editor...
Writing text was particularly impossible because something as simple as centering the text had to be done by hand, which is... pain. Now by setting AnchorPoint::Center, it's done automatically.
Also, text can be rotated and negatively scaled now.
Making UI in NutshellEngine was a terrible experience, so I decided to finally work on this.
With anchor points and a way to set either pixel or normalized coordinates, placing images and writing texts on the UI is better than ever.
C'est un jeu absolument fantastique par le crΓ©ateur de The Stanley Parable
It's crazy that some people are discovering Outer Wilds, The Stanley Parable or The Beginner's Guide through storytelling youtubers instead of playing them... smh
The editor also uses reversed depth now, like the runtime, as it had many Z-fighting issues.
In other news, today, NutshellEngine's editor's renderer is closer to what the game looks like as it now supports PBR. It's easier to see how the materials will look like in game now.
This issue comes from color spaces. Diffuse and emissive textures were loaded as SRGB, and interpreted as such in shaders, but as the lighting calculation is done in linear space, it looked completely wrong.
Loading these textures as UNORM or converting the sampled values to linear fix the issue.
So... Turns out that NutshellEngine's colors were completely wrong. This is something I suspected for a while but decided to finally investigate after a big issue at Global Game Jam 2026.
(Left: wrong colors, Right: real colors)
Backroom fans when see Backroom games are like Zelda fans when they see BOTW
The new 2D grid makes 2D game development way easier.
Old grid
New grid, with subcells
I finally updated NutshellEngine editor's grid. The previous one was pretty useless for a game engine, I couldn't change the spacing between cells without completely breaking the grid and did not work on the 2D orthographic views, the new one has cells and subcells parameters and works in 2D.
Γnorme banger, fΓ©licitations
Lake (PC)
End of the game
Worth it if you like games that take their time.
There is no Switch 2 upgrade I want more than Astral Chain.
Ca sert pas Γ Γ§a surtout, Γ§a sert Γ prΓ©venir un joueur que ses commentaires ont Γ©tΓ© pris en compte et que les soucis ont Γ©tΓ© rΓ©glΓ©s
There is a pretty nice anime called 16-bit Sensation that talks about this kind of games and their development
3300 c'est pas mal je trouve, quand on voit qu'il n'y a qu'une minoritΓ© de joueurs qui mettent une review, je m'attendais Γ pire.
B-Line now has 100 sales (even when removing refunds!), which is way more than what I expected so thank you
Haste (PC)
End of the game
Nice sensation of speed and curiously not repetitive.
No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES (PC)
End of the game
Uhh... At least this game doesn't destroy the lore like Nirvana Initiative, but is... pointless?
Games played in 2026!
