US military bombed a school and killed 150 girls and their media is talking about how it's spiking gas prices that could turn Americans against Trump's war.
It's a kind of insanity.
@imbibecoffee
We roast speciality coffee very very well. We give: 1% of all our revenue to Women's Aid 1% to origin projects 1% to local projects 1% to staff Big businesses could easily run similarly. www.imbibe.ie

Other place was great for us and kept us in business during Covid. Here obviously isn't same. We're lucky we've built a loyal base of people who buy our coffee - thank you! Isn't true for all particularly small artisits/independents who can't afford to advertise. Try to repost their stuff. It helps

Fancy a bit of retail therapy?
We make lots of lovely things and we could do with a few orders.
Reposts would be fabulous too, I swear I am not demanding.

Jack Dorsey laid off 4000 workers (about half the staff), at Block yesterday. He said he believes majority of companies in the industry will do similar in the next year. Share price soared as a result. Gross profit for the year was $2.87 Billion. Disgusting.
Oh God Iβd forgotten that one.
I use Square for my small business. As of today, I am actively pursuing an ethical partnership to process my credit card payments. We will not be making Jack Dorsey any more money while heβs actively firing workers.
Rep. Garcia: βA survivor that has made serious accusation and allegations against not just Jeffrey Epstein but also against President Trumpβ¦We have seen the DOJ files and the archive manifest that clearly shows that the interviews and information around this survivor have been removed."
They have every choice, actually.
And we have the choice not to support them moving forward, too, if they proceed.

Ruling sheds a small light on opaque intel-gathering on some citizenship seekers. An Garda SΓochΓ‘na βhas developed strong links with other security services, particularly those with whom the State shares common threats to national securityβ, it says. I was sent that Citrini Research piece on Monday that The Guardian printed yesterday about the economic apocalypse that could be caused by AI in the very near term (2028). I've had a feeling of existential terror sense. Please tell me it's nonsense... www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

On a pedestrian crossing. This is completely out of control. RIP to the seven people killed by motorists this weekend.
Yeah it sold out crazy quickly.
Thank you!
Iβve said it many times before but time to say it again. A massive thanks to the good people @foggynotions.bsky.social for bringing #Stereolab to the concert hall last night. It was fantastic. Those going to see them in Whelanβs tomorrow night are in for a real treat.
Stopped taking on wholesale customers a year and a half ago. We decided we were happy to stay a small business. Therefore we don't have opportunities to appear on more shop shelves. It's now all word of mouth. I guess this means this coffee is our unofficial tagline... imbibe.ie/collections/...

Today I shall mostly be drinking this and listening to #Stereolab
As it should always be. Hope you're enjoying the trip.
Sat my 13 year old twins down this evening and had βthe talkβ. They now know itβs never ever ever ok to have their phones on loudspeaker in a public place.
Thanks for that. Iβll def give it a listen!
Started reading again after a 13 year twin sabbatical:). Have read some excellent books this last few months.
This is very different to TSB but thus far excellent and would recommend.
Iβm holding a copy of βFrench Exitβ by Patrick Dewitt. Cover shows a drawing of a man with a jacket and tie sitting in a chair. Thereβs a woman standing behind him with a hand on his shoulder.
Havenβt read Patrick Dewitt since the excellent βThe Sisters Brothersβ which feels a lifetime ago (pre children, they age youβ¦)). Really looking forward to this.
Itβs a pity βLord of the Fliesβ is the William Golding book people talk most about. Itβs like if The Beatles were best known for βMagical Mystery Tourβ. A significant work but certainly not their best. If you get a chance, read some William Golding.
