OpenAI's YouTube video on ChatGPT's Study Mode being silent so that students can watch it in a library or a study room is peak attention to detail.
Such details directly or indirectly contribute to the #product and shape it up for success!

Hey, folks of @bsky.app 👋
I am looking to #connect with people working on:
📜 TypeScript
🐍 Python
🌐 NextJS
📱 Expo
⚡️ FastAPI
❇️ Supabase
🗃️ Postgres
🎨 Tailwind CSS
Let's #build!
ORMs sometimes make things complicated rather than simpler.
Raw SQL never hurts.
Where/What/How did you start with marketing and sales?
What are some pocket-friendly strategies?
Don't know how relevant this is, but Qwen's web-app is built using @svelte.dev!
oh @nextjs.org, you complicated fucking beauty! ✨
This resource is really good. I did come across it when exploring @convex.dev. Now, it mentions "document-relational" as what Convex is. And Convex doesn;t use SQL. So, what does it make Convex? A NoSQL database? Am I thinking correctly here?
Hey, that’s perfectly fine. You should be proud that you tried for it and have _something_.
I am not using it in a production-ready system yet, but I am just beginning to integrate it within an app that I am experimenting with.
Reason I went for Polar over Stripe is Stripe’s non-availability in my country.
is @convex.dev a SQL database? i get all the features and have even started using it for a couple of projects, yet, i fail to understand the paradigm behind it. What is it actually?
#BaaS
Apple iCloud+'s Custom Mail might be one of the most underrated feature ever! It's cheap, efficient, and most importantly, it just fucking works. Seamless.
awed by @jpudysz.bsky.social and their team working on @reactnative.dev Unistyles for their support and response.
we, @shunyaek.se, were stuck on an issue concerning development workflows with @expo.dev & Unistyles and they immediately helped us figure it out over their @discord.com!
cheers!
So, if I got it right, it’s an issue with @reactnative.dev not supporting ReadableStreams and not really with the AI SDK.
Still a bummer though!
@vercel.com’s #AI #SDK doesn’t support @reactnative.dev Community CLI.
What a bummer! 😕😔😤
🏃🏻 Shifting my app to @expo.dev now!
But this vibe is definitely there. I for once have started to move away from Expo and towards the Community CLI once again. Feels fresher.
It’s not as bad as I might sound. And Vercel and Expo also do enable a lot more than this issue I am feeling. They do give back to the community.
Agree! It is small. And I do see a lot of development happening all around. Tamagui and the team’s efforts and CallStack’s efforts are all world-class.
Bu Vercel vibes, I meant the lock-in. There’s this pattern where everything in web has recently revolved around Vercel a lot. Same for Expo.
Square graphic with a grainy black-to-bronze gradient. Centre shows the silhouette of a smartphone; on its screen the white serif word ‘idea?’ is stacked above monospaced text ‘we can build it for you’. A rounded strip spans the bottom, fading from grey to bronze. Left side of the strip reads ‘01@shunyaek.se’; right side displays the shunyaek logo. Beneath, large white text declares: ‘we build stellar apps — web or mobile.
idea → app, hassle-free. @shunyaek.se we handle strategy, design, engineering & launch so you can focus on the vision. DM or mail 01@shunyaek.se to ship something stellar. 🪄

i believe the available library of packages, especially concerning design & components, lacks the finesse that we usually see with the React (web) ecosystem. It’s hard to make choices with RN. @expo.dev is doing wonders for the community, but one does start getting @vercel.com vibes with it soon.
@reactnative.dev is amazing! it doesn’t have the best ecosystem, but it sure provides an amazing DX, especially if coming from @react.dev ecosystem.
Whoooaaa!!!
This is extremely eye opening!
currently facing a lot of trouble with Tamagui and the Bento UI bundle that comes with it.
using Bento feels like it was made by some kid. it's extremely frsutrating with a ton of TypeScript errors in the code.
#buildinpublic
alright, I now have a neat implementation of @supabase.com integration, especially for auth set-up and ready.
i also have my state management for auth ready with XState. I have a neat machine, a handful of states that I envisioned my app to be in and all of it is well integrated with Supabase.
for #auth, I am using a concept that I recently started adopting — #state #machines
I am using #XState along with @supabase.com.
I self-host an instance of Supabase on my machine w/ @docker.com and that's what I will use.
#buildinpublic
okay, first and foremost, I am currently setting up #auth for my new app. what am I #building, you may wonder? 🤔
i am trying to build on an old #idea that I once tried to execute — zupit

trying something new today — live blogging whilst building my thing.
follow this thread for the next few hours.
it might not be great content, but it will be fun, at least for me!
:)
🚀
the pain was real.
the config was gnarly.
but the developer experience now?
smooooooth.
would I recommend #monorepos? Yes — but only if you’re very patient and love debugging as much as building.
