Viktor feels guilt gnaw at the tissues of his heart as he watches Jayce rise from the couch. "I-If there's any way I can make it up to you, if— if you need money o-or anything at all — just let me know and I'll—" Viktor glances up at him with flushed cheeks and a genuinely worried expression on his face. The younger man feels so much bigger than him somehow, with his spine straight and broad chest pulling the cloth of his shirt taut. "Anything?" Jayce echoes with a raised brow. Viktor nods as his grip on the handle of his cane tightens.

Viktor paused. "I just know I can't be here." "I'll follow you wherever you lead. I'm not losing you again, Viktor." Jayce declared, with feeling. 'I cannot stop you." Viktor intoned, stating a fact. He kept walking, with a new gait that required no adjustment. He turned his thoughts inward once again, ignoring Jayce's voice to dissect the pulling sensation that continued to lead him.
