Amused me in today's Rest is Entertainment when Richard Osman pointed out that all those barely famous influencers in Dubai are actually benefit scroungers. They're living off the state.
Finally in after doing two shifts in a row, starting at 11am (less travelling time) and finishing at 1am, during which I hardly ever sat down. That is easily the hardest working day of my life. And I bet it's not the last time I do it.
Looking forward to tomorrow (today now). Going to do an eight hour shift at Anfield, then DJ for six hours in town. With an hour transfer. Might be a bit knackered at the end of the day.
Following my victory last night, completely failed to win the Cambridge quiz tonight. Fourth, so didn't even get a runners-up prize.
Celebrating my inadvertent quiz win by watching Local Hero. Just a perfect film. Peter Capaldi such a goofy kid, although he still ran with the swept back wings 35 years later.
The seismic shock of my win also caused the Belvedere's roof to cave in.
Went to the shop and walked home past the Belvedere, when I realised the quiz was on. Wanting to see what it was like, I bought a pint and entered, on my own. Yep, to my utter embarrassment, I won. "Don't ever come here again," said a defeated quizzer. Don't worry, I won't.

A long one at the shift tonight, at an especially drafty gate. Still haven't warmed up. And because it went on so late, there were no buses so had to walk home alone. Sometimes, you do have to walk alone. And then I realised I still had the key so I'll have to go back tomorrow. Sigh.
