Anyone just casually chatting w/ LLM (ChatGPT? Claude? something else?) about how your day is going? Kind of like how'd you text a friend? (if you can't tell, I am searching for real people who are treating these things as friends/pals vs. Q&A/assistants/employees)

Is anyone regularly chatting with any AI bots over text / iMessage / WhatsApp? If so, which ones and for what?

Yes, I am paying attention, but I am but 1 of 7 board members. A lot of things that would be delightful for consumer apps and consumer use cases are no longer prioritized.

... works in cars too (via CarPlay). News about places that you've been to / places you'd be interested in, etc. (CarPlay doesn't work great.... yet... but it does work!)

(1) BeeBot read an email newsletter & lears about tree lighting. (2) BeeBot knows I passing thru WSP is part of my routine
(3) BeeBot detects my change in neighborhood & uses moment to tell me about the event.

Ha! USL-C will challenge MLS w/ D1 status (and USL has been building the infra needed for pro/rel for years now). If USL turns into a legit challenger (esp w/ appeal of pro/rel across 3 divisions & ~200+ teams) I bet you see MLS pivot not because they want to, but because USL forced their hand.

🎄 Dec 4 -> Okay, today's @djbeebot's daily rec (Advent Calendar style!) via AirPods... this one is NOT GOOD. It's an online auction (& we haven't pushed the code the double-check removal of "online" etc) "Contemporary art" matches my AI profile, so event was scored high enough to be read aloud.

Had a cool @djbeebot.com moment last night... was walking past a building near Madison Square Park that had this cool exhibit inside. I was looking thru the windows trying to figure out what it was and then BeeBot perked up in my headphones...

In Apple’s case, I think two things probably happened.

First, HCI was killed by behavioral economics (see below), and nobody remembers how to do it.

Second, they put a supply-chain guy in charge who can’t even see design, so there is no incentive anyway.

(AI finds the event, AI matches event to me, AI writes the copy, AI speaks the text... it's magic when it works!)
