No that's not me on the new covers! But they look great :)
Thanks William! The film is a lot better than people remember I think...
@thespaceshipper.com this is what I was talking about the other week :D
My latest cover for @arrowvideo.bsky.social
Please fucking support your creative friends. A lot of bad things are happening, but the news cycle blots out the goddamn sun and 24/7 doomscrolling is objectively bad for your mental health.
Help the people who help you feel and stay human.

nope! :D
Ideas about digital life, AI, simulation theory, religion & reality expressed through the lens of nostalgia & pop culture
these are in order..
Funny I just did a dvd cover for a similarly-themed/budgeted/maligned film I can't name yet, and also enjoyed way more than I thought I would (hadn't seen before) .. some seriously great prod design in it.. will share when public :D
Thank you :)
So that is what I continue to do.. I am a crazily, weirdly, lucky guy to make my living this way..
If you follow me or like my stuff I am incredibly grateful .. I've been doing this full time for 17 years.. I still feel like I'm only getting started
Thanks for reading :)
I also wanted to play around with storytelling.. So back in 2017 I decided that instead of trying to write another book I'd just try to combine all of my passions into one giant narrative experiment
The (ongoing) result is The Endling Saga
I also make a lot of art for myself. In fact, I mostly make art for myself. Personal work has always come first bc it's important (fundamental) to me, but also it leads to all the commercial work (& I have to earn a living) .. i like to play with diff mediums, no restrictions.. play time
I also write & from 2015-17 I had a series of children's books published called The Ayla Trilogy
It was pretty crazy & it's something I'm v proud of, even tho I hate that 3rd cover with a passion (it's ok for me to say that, I made them.. & did all the interiors too. fwiw, I hate those now too)
But mostly when it comes to commercial work it's books & movies (which is dream come true)
And you might notice - a lot of Dune ..
Dune has become an absolutely massive part of my working life, which is also dream-come-true bc it's always been a massive part of my non-work life too
I occasionally do other things too, like editorial or advertising
... and DVD covers, pretty much all for Arrow Video (but some others)
I've done a lot of these
I've done bits & pieces of stuff for films (key art, merch) but mostly I do licensed posters for galleries ...
...and interiors
For a living, I make art for books and films mostly
A lot of covers (have no idea how many) ...
Hi, my name is Matt (or Griff) & this is what I do 🧵
For my new followers (Hi there!), a thread - about me, what I do, and - if you're minded - where you can buy prints and/or digital copies of my book, Weird Field World.

✨I wrote a MEGA blog for Aardman all about how we made 'Wallace & Gromit: Shot on iPhone', a commission from Apple last year that I had the great pride in directing. It's a multimedia extravaganza blog with words, images & videos taking you behind the scenes of how we made it: aard.mn/WGShotoniPhone
Thanks William :)
