Castration Movie 2 is hands down one of the best films Iβve seen in my life, so supporting Part 3 means being part of cinematic history. Louise is amazing and her art is astonishing
Just donated $20: who else has a little bit they can spare today? (Especially among my friends who aren't in MN themselves.)
i am now 32 and working on chapter 3.2 of castration movie. crowdfunding coming soon www.kickstarter.com/projects/wea...
We're up to three states now that trans people simply can't go to. Here's hoping we don't get to 50
This is horrific. Kansas blatantly trying to harass trans people into not existing. Kansas delenda est
This kind of thing has been standard policing since Marsha P Johnson's dead body was found in the Hudson River following an argument with some transphobes and was immediately ruled a suicide and left uninvestigated by police
Those are rookie numbers. Gotta pump those up

The Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction is open to nominations. Is there a 2025 title that you loved that reflected the concepts and ideas that were central to Le Guin's work? Nominate it.

I just sent $20 to Ian to help this family. I'd like you to chip in a few bucks if you can too.
Erin's framing of this is alarming. Let's be clear, this is not law. It is a poorly constructed legal interpretation. Therapists and mental health providers can and should still provide supportive treatment for trans Texans
This press release is the legal equivalent of this:
Lots of "Persepolis" recs on the TL, so I'm throwing in a recommendation for the under-seen "Under the Shadow," an Iranian haunted-house movie about how (1) losing your rights as your government tilts hard right sure sucks! and (2) being in a war zone sure doesn't help! www.imdb.com/title/tt4273...
It's so good! One of my favorite horror movies.

Anyway this is a really terrific organization that is feeding A LOT of people right now, and they're struggling to raise enough money to feed all the people who need food. Please donate if you can. There are a number of options.

So @lateonsetgirl.bsky.social has added a pre-release copy of her amazing new book WHAT WE ARE SEEKING along with a paperback of the reissue of her legendary 1996 Cyberpunk novel THE FORTUNATE FALL to the giveaway, and I'll be honest, that's probably cooler than what I'm offering!
If more books will still help, I'd love to donate a pre-release hardcover of What We Are Seeking and a paperback of The Fortunate Fall.
A stack of thin pink books that say OBSTETRIX * Naomi Kritzer on the spine.

It's #MSWL Day! As always, I'm looking for speculative and surreal fiction for adults, and I like it smart, fun, and weird.
Right now, I'm especially in the mood for:
- well-researched historical settings
- classic-mystery structures
- books with a coherent moral/political point of view

Brilliant but horrifying short by Cameron Reed @lateonsetgirl.bsky.social on @reactorsff.bsky.social reactormag.com/the-girl-tha...
Yeah, there's a spam "author" using the same name and Goodreads has Congenital Agenesis attached to them instead of me. I think I just have to ask for it to be moved.
oh! and this story by @lateonsetgirl.bsky.social is awesome; just ordered a copy of her new book!
