C’mon, people. Look at your Kremlin style guide. The phrase is “special military operation.” Not all of you are getting this right.

Optical illusion of a woman bent over some papers. Her sunglasses are pushed up and she is wearing a hair band so the top of her head looks exactly like a Muppet face

A comic drawn digitally with two panels. First panel has one black cat on the left asking a white cat on the right "so what do you do for a living?"

Second panel the white cat answered with a silly face "My best?"

“For me, the most ironic token of [the first human moon landing] is the plaque signed by President Richard M. Nixon that Apollo 11 took to the moon.

It reads: 'We came in peace for all Mankind.' As the United States was dropping 7 ½ megatons of conventional explosives on small nations in Southeast Asia, we congratulated ourselves on our humanity. We would harm no one on a lifeless rock.”

#Target loudly missing the point here. They had the choice of caving to a facist government's demands or sticking with their state & customer base, and they chose poorly.

It's gonna take a LOT to gain back people's trust, not just returning to just before they broke the camels back.

We've arranged a global civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.

I'm still laughing about a @jackboxgames.com Quiplash round that we had tonight where the prompt was "a darker, grittier sequel to Goodnight, Moon"

and I wrote "Fuck You, Stars"

We also had a round that was like "a special at a diner for bears" and I put "pine conecaine" and I may never top these!

I understand why chatbot cheating happens but every time I read about it I want to gently remind everyone that the point of schoolwork is not for the submission to exist. Teachers are not just greedy for more essays or solved equations. The point is to do the work WITH YOUR OWN BRAIN, FOR LEARNING.

I completely understand why people are angry about this, but consider that it *really is true* that the media is wired to make it about Dems, or at least both-sides it. The press would *love* to have anything to cover other than "an 80yo dementia patient ranted for hours."
