I decided to try and add legs to these iterative particle systems.
It might have not been the best idea.
it doesn't look like anything (no effects work yet), but i got the magic plane implemented! position and casting are working. now, of course, there are a million bugs and special cases and design questions (positive).
i will eventually hint them in world space, but function first. #7drl

Experimenting with strong materials that can't be dug through using normal tools.
Gameplay ideas:
- block player movement, making underground navigation more complex
- enclose special resources that need to be extracted using explosives or other means
Even with all the right moves, you're gonna get disconnected sometimes. You can't win every battle, hacker.

Eyyy I live in Belconnen as of two years ago and didn't know about this. Looks sick π
for about 8-10 months i worked on this game, it was a card based roguelike where you were a wizard. for the life of me I could not get the mechanics where I wanted them and kept running into game design issues that ultimately I couldn't solve (basically kept the game from being fun).

You can now place lights while digging deep into the ground in my game. The plan is to have lights be a resource that must be conserved.
Given there are no shadows for these lights right now (much less GI), this is already looking better than I was expecting.
