The creators said there's two more Season 3 episodes coming then that's it. But also apparently the nature of their contract with Adult Swim is that the option is available to them if they want to make more of the show. Part of me wonders if this is a tactic to get more money from the studio?

I understand the burnout and it's been a good run, but ending Smiling Friends at this point seems too soon. I don't think they've tapped the full potential of what they can do with the series and characters.
