I think a good number of Stuff models do that now.
Yeah, you utilize acceleration-based movement.
Our player cards do that for the shaded regions from last season. It applies last seasonβs acceleration to that gameβs average time-to-plate for that pitch type (ex Strider is creating similar FF movement to last year, just at a slower velo)
Also worth noting what their velo is. If theyβre at the upper end of their movement distribution from last year *and* theyβve gained velo, thatβs even more impressive.

Don't have the full Process+ suite running yet, but Griffin has faced roughly average pitch quality (75 being MLB avg, 10=StDev)

FWIW, the letter grades map to a C being average at that stat, with full letter grades being a standard deviation. Plus values are 100 is average w a 15 StDev

Correct! Start grade is trained on regular season, and he gets dinged there. Start Grade also considers observed results (Ks/ER/BBs, etc), while the model values are strictly modeled outputs.

We've been working hard on developing our new Player Game Cards behind the scenes, and I love how they turned out!
We have Traits (Velo, Movement, Etc), Outcomes (Str%, CSW%, xSLGcon), and Modelled Value (plvStuff, plvLocation, and PLV), for every pitch thrown, plus visualizations!
