Work started this week on the I-90/Vantage Bridge. Traffic is down to a single-lane in each direction now through the fall with the exception of the following weekends: Memorial, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Traffic is typically heaviest eastbound Fridays and westbound Sundays.
I-90 EB at MP 72 now open.
I-90 EB at MP 74 is fully blocked due to debris across the roadway. No estimated time of reopening.
I-90 WB at MP 50: One-lane closure for the next 24-48 hours to allow crews to inspect and clean up gabion wall materials that have fallen into the ditch.

I-90 updates
1. Two left lanes closed on EB I-90 at MP 36 between North Bend & the summit due to embankment erosion.
2. Full closure WB I-90 this week at Bullfrog (exit 80) to install girders for the new westbound overpass. Detour via the off & on ramps.
UPDATE #7: Work to repair the I-90 Bullfrog Road overpass will require a full westbound closure to install girders. The one-week closure starts Monday, Dec. 15. Travelers will be able to continue onto west on I-90 using the off- and on- ramp and exit 80.
Advanced Notice: Westbound I-90 at Snoqualmie Pass (MP 52) will have intermittent closures on Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 10 am to 3 pm. Plan for hour-long delays.
We have an EB lane closure on I-90 across the Vantage Bridge (MP 136-137). A transition plate, part of the deck replacement project, has come loose. The lane will remain closed until crews can evaluate Friday and make a repair.

UPDATE #5: Look at the quick work by our contractor last week removing the damaged Bullfrog Road overpass. Now our bridge engineers are designing the new westbound section. We’ll keep you posted on timeline and schedule for construction.
UPDATE #4: WB I-90 has REOPENED near Cle Elum following the removal of the damaged Bullfrog Road overpass. Crews worked nonstop overnight so we could reopen I-90 earlier than expected. Our bridge engineers are designing a new WB overpass. We'll keep you posted on next steps!
UPDATE #3: WSDOT and contractor crews made great progress overnight, removing the damaged westbound Bullfrog Road overpass. With the span now removed, crews are clearing debris from the demolition site. Target is still to reopen the westbound lanes by early next week.
UPDATE #2: An emergency contractor will demolish the damaged Bullfrog Road overpass beginning Oct. 23. One lane of EB I-90 will be closed during demo from 6 p.m. Oct. 23 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25. WB I-90 expected to reopen early next week. Traffic is detoured at Exit 80.

UPDATE: I-90 remains closed WB at Exit 80 near Cle Elum after an oversized load struck the overpass. Travelers are being detoured at Exit 80 via the off- and on-ramp. Crews will be out today to assess the damage. The Washington State Patrol is investigating. No estimate for a reopening.
