A folding table stood awkwardly in front of a laser cutter. On the table are arrayed little LCD, e-Ink and LED display digital badges with various examples running on them. A line of stickers adorns the front edge of the table and some other products- large e-ink displays showing comic book covers - are tucked at the right-hand end.
Absolutely shattered after standing up and talking about badgeware (and other shinies) for seven hours at CamJam in Cambridge MakerSpace π«
Good to catch up with a parade of familiar faces though, and see some new ones!
@pimoroni.com I've been working on a C API for the Tufty2350 display, and the basics are now working :-)
Three Pimoroni badgeware smart badge products are shown on a toy wooden ship with a flip dot display behind them. One has an eink screen, one a full color IPS display and the third uses white LEDs.
The backs of the three Badgeware products are shown on a wooden toy ship. They are blue, orange and green and are semi transparent.
The Badgeware e ink device is shown with its packaging and a Domo Kun plush toy. A flip dot sign is in the background.
Recent arrivals on the shipping ship from Sheffield on Sea @pimoroni.com Badgeware Badger, Tufty and Blinky. I hope to get a #micropython project out for these soon! As always beautifully made and packaged.
I wrote an app for the @pimoroni.com Blinky 2350, it basically uses pirate example code, the menu image is my own work. :-) #BadgeLife
My RV4028 computer is getting to the point where video output would be nice. Maybe I can rig up PicoTerm on the VGA demo board...
Anyway - for now I'm controlling the on board LEDs with a Pimoroni QwST Pad!
The madlads at @pimoroni.com overclocked an RP2350 microcontroller from the base clock of 150 Mhz to a whopping 861.6 MHz.
It looks like 400-500 MHz can be stable on most Pico 2s, which is still wild.

The Greggs Roulette app running on Tufty 2350, the screenshot has the device in the centre, with orange "Greggs Roulette" text on top of it.
I made "Greggs Roulette", an app to decide what tasty treat to eat from Greggs!
I used the new Tufty 2350 from Pimoroni, it has a lovely bright screen, great case and a powerful #RaspberryPi #RP2350 SoC (the same as the #Pico2) with Wi-Fi and onboard LiPo power!

A conference badge sized computer sat on a laptop surrounded by the RGB LEDs it now controls
Spent an enjoyable evening noodling about with @pimoroni.com 's excellent tufty badgeware. Of course I hooked it up to control WLED. Such a capable package!
Pimoroni Presto and Tufty 2350 running Command and Conquer. The Presto is hosting a multiplayer game and the Tufty has joined it.
Now to play a game against myself...
Built a RP2040 HUB75 driver 2yrs ago: 2 chans, 2x buffering, and 8-10bit BCM via a single DMA stream to 2 cascaded PIO engines. 7+3 PIO instr.
It was a naive try.
Starting fresh with RP2350. Simplifying RGB engine and refining control engine to PWM lower bitplanes, to address the min on-time issue.

Work in progress BlueSky app on my Pimoroni Tufty!
A smattering of Badgeware boards, little PCB backed screens of various flavours in polycarbonate cases stood upright on a desk. One is running DOOM, a LED matrix display is running Bad Apple and a third is running the default firmware main menu.
Welp DOOMβs a thing. We can all go home and sleep now!

Tinkering with Pimoroni's new Badgeware boards, right now it's Badger 2350 and I am having fun making my own badge with custom image of me. These new badges have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, onboard lipo and charging. They can be sooo much more than just a badge, and that is what I intend to do!
shows the tufty 2350 and badger 2350 in the boxes sitting on my counter
Badges made it in just in time to get ready for atmosphere conf. @pimoroni.com killed it on the boxes for these.

This PR thanks to work we're doing with badgewa.re - get yourself a badge and indirectly help make MicroPython better for everyone π

Just to prove it actually works and that wasn't a screenshot:
(Still even less practical than usual though)
Tufty2350 running the 32blit launcher. Which is technically also a Pimoroni thing, but I wrote most of the code it's running on here....
Who needs the default launcher anyway π

The Pirates did it again! Another beauty. We love everything about it, from packaging to the trendy badgeware!
Great stuff @pimoroni.com ππ½
