I don’t understand people who do this. You go to a place you don’t fit in. You go to a place to shit on everyone. And you keep doing it until, what, one of them likes you?

This is not unlike some gay men who complain about homonormativity until one of those gymrats wants to f*ck them. 🙃

Grow up.

Every Star Trek mirror universe episode is so ridiculous. And then you realize this is what so many grown men think is the ideal for Star Trek, sci-fi, and politics & morality.

A joke. A violent, terrible joke that a 12-year-old might find funny.

Wait.

The Star Trek: Enterprise mirror universe started when James Cromwell blasted the Vulcans with a shotgun at First Contact?

😂😂😂😂

They said “live long and prosper” and he said “BAM!”

And then the other humans rushed their ship 😭😭😭

No but that’s more believable in this timeline 🤣🤣🤣

okay so this seems pretty clear. he knows what it is, he did it on purpose, he chose keeping it over his career with the Marines, if we know this then Susan Collins will also know it, it will 100% come up in the general, let's be done talking about this guy as a real candidate

Lots of “not GOP” men — especially the yts — going absolutely feral to defend tattoo guy, emails mentions, and the sci-fi murder machine in its zygote stages.

WHY IS THAT?!

This is called infantile egocentrism and we're supposed to age out of it by the time we're 5 or so.

So because all his other bullshit and Trump support went to ruin, this chode looking fool is putting his finger in the wind and hoping that the trans misogyny will be a cover

I wish him the worst

Chart showing extreme variation around the world in views of homosexuality.

39% of U.S. adults say homosexuality is morally wrong – far more than take that position in Germany or Sweden but far fewer than in Indonesia or Nigeria.

You know what else the “distraction” excuse also does?

Feed the narrative that all of this is new, the responsibility of one person, and America never had a systemic / cultural problem it needs to deal with.

It’s actually closer to “anti-woke” than to whatever happened in the summer of 2020.

Got in trouble for never showing my work since high school; I outlined and calculated in my head cuz that’s how I imagined going down a path of an argument or problem. But my best papers? Always a written outline. I guess it was a matter of how much I wanted it / how important I considered it.

I’ve thought about it too (same for cooking!).

I think part of it is the aspiration of driving an expensive car (car culture is about being noticed in the shiny thing), and another is that “rich” behavior is something learned (but then don’t the leagues/unions have classes on this stuff?).

Why are we bothering with the Strait of Hormuz when we could simply do this? Explain it to me like l'm 5.

“Kinetic” overuse is because:

1) consonants make the word sound active & forceful (masculine strength)

2) creates an illusion of precision and therefore expertise (masculine aspiration)

3) is not common so it feels like the language of an exclusive club you wish you were in (masculine desire)

06.03.2026 17:37 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0

What's with these guys' use of the word "kinetic?" Where did that come from? Did someone focus-group test it and tell politicians to all start using it or what?

“How was your day, Fido?”

*barks*

“Did you say it was a rough day?! OMG my dog can talk!”

The decline of reading books, and the decline of literacy (broadly), mixed with the abundance of people talking / typing to produce words, has placed undue weight on language vs an observed reality.

This has nothing to do with the specific content here, but Polymarket adopting the language of news, here with BREAKING, and with Texas election results earlier this week, is BAD. Polymarket is not and will never be a news org or break news. It's a betting app. It's Draft Kings for sociopaths.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers at Stanford University have developed a UNIVERSAL vaccine known as GLA-3M-052-LS+OVA, that protects against a wide range of respiratory viruses, bacteria AND even allergens. The vaccine is delivered intranasally AND provides broad protection in the lungs for several MONTHS.

If you ignore people who say they “don’t know” how they feel about the war, disapproval of Trump’s actions is already at 56%. That is higher than the resistance to Vietnam in 1971.
