I'm hosting The Beaverton podcast tomorrow for the first time, so when you all listen to it (I assume you all listen to it and don't tell me if that's not true) I need you to say very nice things about me even if I forget all my lines, okay thank you in advance, good day to you all
As much as I loved this band at one point in my life and still listen to Never Mind the Bullocks occasionally methinks this is definitely in the "Who farewell" tour phase.
Five local artists to share their works-in-progress at 'Rough Cuts #2' in #Ptbo. Public Energy Performing Arts invites audiences to witness the creative process in action on March 13 at The Theatre On King. kawarthanow.com/2026/03/02/f...
I don't know about the right wing stuff but the NYT could try to employ a journalist from Canada that wasn't a crazy, anti-centrist shill perhaps? The coverage of the Freedom Convoy in that newspaper was seriously spurious to say the least.
It made me happy to see my dear friend @brittlestar.com reading my magazine and sharing his reaction.

A modern replica of a 1st-century Romano-British fish fibula, displayed in a black gift box. The brooch has a silver-toned base with bold blue enamel stripes along the body, green herringbone detailing along the spine, and a blue circular eye. A printed card shows a black line drawing of the original and states it is an exact replica of a fibula found in East Sussex, UK.
A Roman could fasten their clothes with an owl, a deer, or a fish. We respect the commitment to a theme. π¦π¦π
This century in one post.
International law is everywhere on people's high moral posts about Iran. But... where was that international law when Putin invaded Ukraine, when the Taliban herded girls into hiding, when the Iranian regime killed protesters? I haven't seen 'international law' working for some time now.

Judy LaMarsh was a remarkable person.
In Parliament she helped lay the foundation of Universal Healthcare and the Canada Pension Plan and oversaw our Centennial Celebrations. She also wrote three books and fought for LGBTQ rights as a lawyer.

This neither supports the strikes nor condemns them. It clearly supports stopping the Iranian regime from developing nuclear weapons. It's a very weird statement. www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/stat...
C18th pewter button, tiny, showing eight petal design. Shown posed in my black-gloved hand on the Thames Foreshore.
Tiny C18th pewter button found on the Thames Foreshore on one of this weekβs two sunny days. Eight petalled flower design, so much pretty detail for such a small item. Always a treat to find haberdashery from the river #mudlark
If youβre an American service member who gets killed in a retaliatory strike, your family can take comfort in the fact that it was done in service of making the host of Celebrity Apprentice feel like a big man for a minute, before he moved on to something else and forgets about this forever
I live near Algonquin Park & have seen several but they never let you get this close. Wonderful to see them at this range. The paws are amazing.
Great photos!! #wildlife #fishers
Dear Toronto

The @romtoronto.bsky.social has an excellent looking exhibition about Crawford Lake where they have found evidence from every epoch on the Earth. But... they mention the Anthropocene which IS NOT a recognized epoch. Why are people ignoring this science? stratigraphy.org/chart/
AI investors be like, "show me the money"
I didn't know this one. It's great. Thread on conspiracies which are more creative than when I was young, and more sinister.

π global reputation. What global reputation? The one that seizes innocent people at the border, wants to annex neighbours, kills its own citizens who get in the way of deportations, thinks everyone owes them something & bullies countries to comply?
What a mess. So many of us questioned why the internet was not regulated for years. Now it's too late because of privacy & issues of free expression/speech. A work around is needed cuz tech is never going to comply. #tumblerridge

This blew up on Twitter & the comments were all over the place but zero insults. They were mostly smart. That platform is unpredictable.
Just really tired of seeing artists having to defend their thinking. Thank you Nick Cave. www.nme.com/news/music/n...
Too exhausted & sore to find this funny.
Ok, yes, I totally agree with you on this. Most of these guys are pretty up front about the fact that feminism has failed & they use the economy & low birth rates etc. to justify it. Gross & dangerous for sure.
