One thing that will rankle me until the day I die is the Shadowrun Reborn devs promised it would braid together the SNES and Genesis games' stories, and then from the SNES game they brought back *the whole ass protagonist*, and from the Genesis game they brought back... Harlequin. fucking Harlequin

You can compare them at feeling like a Shadowrun game, and the SNES version... largely does not

Shadowrun on the SNES is a daylit, concrete-jungle, adventure game-esque chore without a lot of really deep dramatic beats. Shadowrun on the Genesis is a tight open-world adventure that actually feels like playing Shadowrun on tabletop.
