It's for a submission call, but the character in my story, Grounded, in the Keyed anthology that just came out, is trying yoga at the Pegasus Academy (where she works) to help her deal with the magical entity living inside her.

That's a good data point and I probably should talk about my writing more. 😀 I know part of it is that I often have multiple WIPs and hashtags especially that ask about "your WIP" make me go "uh, which one..." and then I never post. If I can ask do you prefer links to excerpts or excerpt graphics?

I know you're doing your best, and that's all any of us can do right now.

I just wish I knew how to write social media posts/make graphics that get people to click. It's very disheartening. I've been trying to build a membership group now for about two years, offering tons of value, lots of stories, etc., and still have 0 paid subscribers (as little as $2/mo).

I've also read through netgalley and while it's okay, the netgalley app drives me angry on my tablet because tapping on the bottom doesn't bring up a scroll bar/etc but rather moves me forward in the book. Feels much less accessible.

Bookfunnel is where I prefer to receive eARCs to read. Goes right into the app, allows me to download the book to my device for offline reading, and it will send reminder emails when the book goes live. They also have piracy protections. I'm just starting to do ARCs again, and will be using them.

Me: Starlink is literally 1/2 price of my internet and 5x the speed and that's all that's really offered in my area. I don't like supporting one of Musk's companies, but rural people are over a barrel here.
