A bluesky post from Kyra, artist behind chikin nuggit, laying out what is happening to their IP. Buzzfeed and its corporate shareholders are feeding chikn nuggit to the gen ai for training. The OP states they are strongly against this and are devastated.

US Citizens: it takes 3 minutes to ask them not to cut down more forest and you can do it anonymously and receive a receipt without sharing any PII.

use your voice. please. leave a comment. dense old growth forests are for us all. not for the rich and greedy. this is my homeland. this is my heart.

Public lands belong to all Americans and should be managed for long-term health and safety, not short-term resource extraction.

Don't know if they'll listen to a Swede, but we've made the same mistake so we know more about this from experience than they do.

The truth people outside of Sweden aren't usually aware of is there's almost no forest older than 100 years here outside of national parks. It's all planted and managed.

I’m sorry that happened to you, but using a scary experience you had as justification to devastate an entire ecosystem is a disingenuous argument.

Please share and flood this with comments! This my home! I grew up in those forests!

Reminder that a short comment is still better than no comment if you aren't sure what to say! If you're totally stumped you can bring up some of the points mentioned in the linked article. Ecosystems like these can't just be replanted later!!
