According to SCMP and other sources, the HKFA will announce the sacking of Ashley Westwood soon. Several local and previous coaches are in the mix for an interim appointment until the end of the Asian Cup campaign, while a new permanent head coach hiring process is underway.
Their attendances are of course still higher, but they are not playing in the Asian Cup qualifiers anymore (they were qualified through the early joint World Cup qualifying campaign)
The game against Singapore was also the game with the second highest attendance in this qualifying round (47,762), only beaten by the Malaysia-Vietnam clash on 10 June (61,512)
