Does anybody know what Trump means when he demands Iranβs βunconditional surrenderβ? Does Trump himself know? Maybe he wants them to come out with their hands up, waving a white flag. He mustβve been watching a movie.

Bring back:
β’ one-time purchases
β’ βfreeβ that actually means free
β’ apps/software that respects your time and attention
Because not everything needs a monthly fee⦠and not every moment needs an advert.

Now itβs like everything is designed to keep you paying, or keep you watching.
Iβm not against creators getting paid. Iβm all for sustainable businesses. But somewhere along the way, we traded simple and useful for endless monetisation.

The internet used to feel⦠lighter.
Youβd buy an app or software once (or download it free), and that was it. No subscriptions. No βupgrade to remove ads.β No pop-ups every 30 seconds interrupting what youβre trying to do.

My 3 year old said to me this morning that he wants to dress up as Paddington Man for World Book Day at nursery tomorrowβ¦
I replied, "You mean Paddington Bear, right?β
No, daddy, itβs Paddington Man, because I want to be Paddington and Spider Man at the same timeβ¦

But these small windows, these 20-minute invitations, donβt stay open forever.
And tonight, Iβm grateful I walked through the door and said yes.

Ambition matters. Discipline matters. Progress matters.
But being present matters more.
The fortress will probably be gone tomorrow.
The assessments will get submitted.
The career will keep building.

It reminded me why Iβm doing all of this in the first place.
Balancing full-time work, studying law, and being present as a husband and father isnβt always easy. There are late nights, early mornings, and plenty of pressure. But moments like this put everything back into perspective.

And although I have two assessments to submit next week that I still need to prepare for, in that moment none of that mattered.
He didnβt care about deadlines.
He didnβt care about emails.
He didnβt care about career plans or long-term goals.
He just wanted me.

I got home from work this evening and my 3 year old son was waiting for me in front of the door to ask me if I want to check out his fortress (he was actually more interested in getting me to play with him).
The 20 minutes I spent playing with him were the best 20 minutes of the day.
The best reward ever!
βWe respect the decision of the juryβ is the stock response of the CPS to an acquittal. Those 7 short words tell you this is not a police state. I donβt see how Sir Keir Starmer can believe them or he wouldnβt be intending GBH to jury trial itself. If you believe them - ACT NOW.
