Never thought I'd see the day, but CHICAGO has finally shown up on TDF (which is different from TKTS). I've had a tracker for 15+ years that checks the website for me & texts me when shows are available, but it's never shown up before that I've seen.

I was dragged to the film and wasn’t expecting to enjoy it but thought it was pretty funny 🤷

Saw this the other night and it was hilarious. Surprised they got away with what they got away with, including the parody of BTTF. Fav moment was when they used the theme and ended with the last note as a tuned car horn.

Skirball finally redeemed itself after Cliff Cardinal.

A snappy 70 minutes and a tour de force performance by Thomas Jay Ryan. The way he growls "plague" will live in my brain for awhile.

We got our programs when leaving the show. This was a dramatization of a 1993 C-SPAN appearance by Anthony Fauci and Larry Kramer. I was pretty moved emotionally and it was sad to think about the parallels 30 years later with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Making me hate national treasure Bryce Pinkham is a treasonous offense (but I think the direction was equally culpable). Plotting wise, I actually liked some of his changes. But the meta narration was inexcusable.

Was randomly thinking about the 2007 London production of CABARET and how much I preferred it to the other 2 major revivals. I remember the audience being stunned into silence at the end.

I tried Googling, but could never figure out what the deal was. I finally got a new work phone number today and when I shared the new # with a colleague, she immediately knew that my old # had two digits reversed from the call-in line for WSKQ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For the past 2 or 3 years I've gotten frequent wrong number calls to my work phone in Spanish, often waking me up in the early morning b/c I have to keep the ringer on when I'm on call. At one point I got a caller in English who told me she was trying to reach a Spanish radio station contest line.
