Until the day came when an unfortunate misogynist asshole angered the croquet mallet-wielding ladies and ended up getting hammered into human paste. Afterwards of which they giddily chuckled as they sauntered off for their afternoon tea. As the nearby crows swooped in for a homo sapien pΓ’tΓ© delight.
That really means a lot, Joanne. You were very consistent in liking my spotlight posts & I can't tell you how much I appreciated that you read them & that they meant something to you.
I learned a lot too. πΊπΈ has been blessed with amazing women that we never fully appreciated all their contributions.
She would be an strong and interesting candidate. Her extreme expertise has always been in matters of consumer protection, equitable economic opportunity & social safety net stuff. I'd be curious how'd she would manage all the extra work not related to that.
I chose Jennell as a capstone to this spotlighting month as she was an influential person in my life as a TTRPG game enthusiast. I had the honor of meeting her (pre-transition) in 2001 & she kindly gave me helpful industry advice I still use to this day. She passed away in Jan. 2024.
Jennell Allyn Jaquays (born Paul Jaquays; October 14, 1956 β January 10, 2024) was an American game designer, video game artist, and illustrator of tabletop role-playing games (RPGs). This is a photo of her seated; holding one of the fanzines she published, the Dungeoneer. A fantasy role playing magazine that originated with the Fantastic Dungeoning Society of Spring Arbor College. The magazine ran for 19 issues, from 1977 to 1980.

And if the spirit ran into road intersections like this, the spirit would just say "Fuck it" and slurk back into the body.
In mythology and folklore, crossroads are extraordinarily interesting in how they interact with supernatural & liminal phenomenon.
In my fantasy game design work, I use them a lot.

Proud of you, Lauren. Way to bring the fight to that oligarchic technofascist! πͺ
Let it be known, the integration of these students entailed a tremendous amount of sacrifice and violence exposure on the part of Ms. Bates & the nine "Little Rock 9" students. It was a tumultuous & ugly time in American history. But without them, πΊπΈ Civil Rights wouldn't be where it is today.
A photograph of Daisy Bates (November 11, 1914 β November 4, 1999) was an American civil rights activist, publisher, journalist, and lecturer who played a leading role in the Little Rock Integration Crisis of 1957. This black & white photo was likely taken in in the late 50s to early 60s at a voters rally. She is surrounded by other African-Americans and she is wearing a black dress with pearl necklace and is looking into the camera.

I'm seeing that π« are using this fallacy often to shortcut their arguments & assertions into hopefully forcing people to assume what they're saying is true. It uses false consensus, a cognitive bias where we overestimate the level of agreement people have with our views & perspectives. Not good.
A meme that says "Appeal to Common Sense". The text then goes on to say "Asserting that your conclusion or facts are just 'common sense' when, in fact, they are not. We must argue as to why we believe something is common sense if there is any doubt that the belief is not common, rather than just asserting that it is. This is a more specific version of the Alleged Certainty Fallacy." The website www.logicallyfallacious.com is then posted underneath it.
The "Appeal to Common Sense" fallacy, a.k.a. an Argument from Incredulity, occurs when someone asserts that a claim is true or false simply because it aligns with or contradicts their personal expectations or what they perceive as "common sense," without providing evidence or logical reasoning.

Hey MissyDee. I'm still getting educated on this topic from people in these communities. And the debates can get pretty intense. Ultimately though, I always ask how this group of people like to be referred to - and I respectfully comply. But in mixed groups of Latin-πΊπΈ's ... that's the complication.

How much you wanna bet the organizers of this event are also 100% all men. There's not a woman around who would want to put their fingerprints on a dumpster fire and insurance-liability-disaster-waiting-to-happen like this.
I hope we can get an insider's view on the actual, true sign-up numbers for this shit show. Incels with cash to burn will likely be the lion's share of attendees. I can't even imagine far-right women being this stupid and desperate to attend.
