They were just confused. And after I proceeded to explain why I was scanning those pallets, even more so. π

One of the reasons I love working on my product (strich.io) is that it's rooted in the physical world. To test it, you need to go out in the field. The store manager of the supermarket that I just went to for testing asked me "what the hell are you doing?" π
cherry on top indeed
Maybe it's time to call it a day.
Huh, I actually never thought of that! π
Sponsorship incoming? π
I will start with email, but I use Docs and Sheets for my business as well for quotes, documentation and low-end CRM. Replacing with Office 365 would have the same issues. Any recommendations there?
Iβm based in Switzerland, Proton is too, that is appealing to meβ¦ especially if I run into any issues.
I thought weβd be flying to Mars and exploring the solar system. π
Screenshot of Gmail showing a mail with subject "The price of your subscription has changed", along with a banner "Unlock special offers right in your inbox".
Enough is enough. Price increases for AI features I don't use, and now "special offers in your inbox"??? Moving to Proton this year.
Oh you evil, evil man π
Same here. Apple is constantly nagging me to update to 26β¦ instead I just want to update to newest 18.X. Very annoying how they want to push 26 at all cost.
iPhone 5 was an incredible phone π
Itβs amazing how capable these devices still are. Great form factor, and just lessβ¦ noise?
Ah, that explains a lot⦠thanks!
An iPhone 7 (released in 2016) receiving a system update to iOS 15.8.6
10yr old iPhone 7 which I use as a low-end iOS test device just received an OS update. Appreciated, but usually means there's some catastrophic exploit in the wild. πΉ
Same here. I use we first, but if a customer wants to know specifics about my company or product, I donβt hide the fact that itβs a solo operation.
Hey, who are you to call my iPhone 15 old! π
Damn... I have 18.7.2 installed, I'm offered neither 18.7.3 nor 18.7.4 for my iPhone 15. I don't want to install 26! π«
Do they want us to update to 26 so desperately that they removed the possibility for minor updates if a new major release exists...?!
Looks beautiful! π
Screenshot of a phishing mail pretending to be from Google, about an account approaching its "pooled storage limit"
Interesting phishing attempt β it's not being detected as such by Google's spam/phishing filter. And just visually, it fooled me upon first glance.
Brave new world
You never know π
On my 2nd job, this once happened to me and a co-worker. We were ended up being the only two engineers who came to the office that day. After a morning of light work, we went barhopping and became a good friends. Before that, we hardly spoke to each other.
Towards other parents, or also towards kids? π
I realized this recently as well when I spoke to a colleague who owns and runs a small SaaS business. They were raving about how it eliminates so much of the drudgery of coding. And Iβm like, βwhat drudgery?β
This was interesting to read. At the risk of sounding like a therapist, how did that way of working on a complex codebase make you feel? Frankly it sounds exhausting. The lack of a good mental model is something that would bother me tremendously. I think it pays dividends in future productivity.
Popup showing a cookie preference dialog after user selected "reject all", showing a processing progress of 92%. It's unclear why there should be any processing at all.
πͺ Got a cookie banner, selected "Reject All" (thanks for that!), then I get another popup with a spinner saying that the "request is being processed" and it may take a few minutes. The popup is still there, spinning at 92%. Oh dear god how did we end up with π© like this?
I disabled AI completions because they were breaking my flowβ¦
Agree that plain Intellisense is superior!
