pov you passed out at a house party and someone's tyranitar is dealing chip to you
you too i see
shark aznable is the primary redeeming feature of this otherwise bad show for sure
i hit the will it kill world tour
my will it kill score this week went through 6-7, 6-9, 7-11 and 9-11 so i won will it kill forever
solaris 2002 was so fucking bad goddamn
"any advice for improving at fighting games?"
my sincere answer:
apartment searching as a trio all on universal credit is stressful and annoying but we can for sure do it
if they're giving just evangelion series to ffxiv alliance raid designers now, i think the return to ivalice guys should also get one
diebuster is cool btw
i gotta be a hater sometimes
it's ok. if you can get past the Township of Leering Misogyny and then pass through Swamp Horrible Pacing you can climb Mount Uhhhh We Got Hype Moments and Aura and reach Peak They Basically Did This In Diebuster Already
i haven't played drakengard or nier manual to be fair and those are supposed to be actually good i just oppose him cause i didn't like Most Deepthroated Fucking Game Ever: Near Tomato and i find his vibe annoying
obviously im not going to watch it cause lmao but it does bear saying that yoko taro is one of my enemies
im 100% on your side here btw
my b
- and ng+ is nice because every boss is above that threshold. even enenra jumpscare
the game has kind of been a pushover since i got the last tier of ninjutsu besides the few bosses with enough health & phase shifts that my ailment stacking ass hits the "my railgun no longer electrifies in 1 or 2 touches" wall, which is more fun because i have to actually fight them -
finished nioh 3. hit that ng+. enenra in the first crucible. it's peak
btw being fully put off by nioh loot is coward shit (sit down, my friend. we are going to play diablo 2) but crucially it is actually trivial to ignore it & just take 30 seconds out of each hour to quickly put on whatever has the biggest atk or def number in each slot
i was joking with Miss that the loot in nioh 3 is the one thing they haven't iterated on but im closing in on the end of the game now and definitely thinking that isn't actually true
watching something incredible tonight
fighting games are being "saved" every day by everyone who plays them, every TO, every bracket runner, everyone who wakes up and decides to care about this shit at all. it's all there for anyone who cares to look. if you don't want it, you won't get it, but it's there. it always has been
the conversation's been had, the trials have been run, the project is over: fighting games are for a particular brand of pervert. they are not to be saved by some mythical silver bullet propelling them into the hearts and minds of the average "consumer" at the behest of the capitalists in our heads
cool gameplay dynamic where you mostly whittle down a boss' health and ki until you have an opening big enough to start going nuts and then you keep going nuts until the boss is gone
was already fun to do this sort of thing in 1 and 2, i definitely hit some sick strings towards the end of my time with them, but 3 lets you go even more ham with empowered arts... especially if you mix up frost moons and flux and weapon swaps. it's so good. it's so good
thing I'm appreciating a lot about nioh 3 is the way it feels to string together arts across multiple stances during empowered arts... it's not just rewarding & powerful to keep it going for as long as possible but it also just feels really nice. good feedback
sorry random elite enemy in nioh 3 but you really chose the wrong game to be in. does 7 empowered heavy attacks and skills in a single flawless sequence including a perfectly timed guard point against your attempt to interrupt me and you explode into 100 distinct body parts
lrts nioh 3 is really, really, really good
i was very excited about this game and to be frank my expectations have been - at least at this point, 12 or so hours in - dramatically exceeded
