In my first term, I will work with the legislature to:
* Reinvest $4 billion into the state budget through tax modernization
* Commit $2 billion to education over the next decade, reaching national per-pupil averages
* Add 15,000 new jobs, bringing Nevada in line with national employment rates.
The legislature will be directed to prioritize government funding and direct corporate investment in community college, career, technical, and apprenticeship programs to support comprehensive adult workforce education.
I'll prioritize job readiness: Day one Executive Orders will mandate job-readiness programs in all schools by the 2028-2029 school year.
I'll introduce the "Nevada Works" program: Day one Executive Orders will create an apprenticeship program, in partnership with NV labor unions, to hire recent high school graduates and adults to fix trails, build playgrounds, and upgrade campsites, rest stops, and other governmental facilities.
The legislature will be directed to prioritize elimination of the payroll tax for small businesses and to equalize other benefits currently limited only to major corporations.
I'll treat small businesses the way we've historically treated big businesses: Day one Executive Orders will declare a state of emergency for small businesses and use the Nevada State Infrastructure Bank for emergency small business loans.
The legislature will be directed to deliver a plan for universal childcare and pass a housing rental cap equivalent to the property tax cap.
I'm going to put Nevadans first. Day one Executive Orders will: freeze residential rent increases, freeze premium increases for insurance, require corporations receiving abatements to raise their minimum wage to $15/hour, and offset federal cuts to SNAP benefits.
The top priority for the legislature will be to pass my new Fair Share Tax Package for Billionaires & Corporations, which raises rates on corporate and hedge-fund landlords, taxes commercial EVs for road use, and implements a corporate capital-gains excise tax.
First, we have to modernize state revenue: Day one Executive Orders will freeze tax abatements for corporations, including data centers.
No vague promises from me - here's what you can expect from my first days as Nevada's governor:
Not hating the "no sacred cows" assessment from the Nevada Current. We have to be willing to have hard conversations if we're going to raise the revenues our state needs to support everyday Nevadans.

I also believe that Nevada should have open primaries for non-partisans, but I’ve met many who are switching to Democrat for this primary!
We do NOT have to settle for politics as usual in Nevada.

This is why I say -- if you are not talking about revenues as a candidate for governor in this state, it means you will continue to have to cut and cut and cut. This is unacceptable. We deserve better than leaving local governments to pick up the pieces.
But he's not doing anything with it. He's going to let our communities struggle because he knows that our state government is in such trouble financially that they have to hold on to every penny.
Tomorrow, almost 50,000 Nevadans will lose their SNAP benefits. These are kids aging out of foster care, seniors, veterans. In last year's special session, the legislature authorized the governor to ask for funding to help people in need, just for instances like this through SB3.

Gov. Lombardo has taken every opportunity to crush Nevadans’ dreams, not boost them. We have to flip this state in November. I can get it done.
And if you're an independent or even a Republican (!!) and want to support me, you're going to have to make the switch at least for the primary. You won't have to stay a Dem! You can switch back after.
