also now that i've played BG3 I know a lot more of the terminology so I kept randomly calling things out: "scrying eyes!" "speak with dead!" "wild shape!"

we watched Dungeons & Dragons (the chris pine one) again last night and I laughed so hard when Xenk pulls a kitten baby out of that fish's mouth that I wept

really the issue here is that my prescription is pretty mild so I just wander around without glasses on most of the time unless i'm staring at a screen, and I forgot what I was missing in the great outdoors

my eye doc gave me samples of a flatter contact lens (my eye is kinda flat so usually they bubble away from my eye and it's really uncomfortable) and like, what do you MEAN there are all these twigs on that tree outside

relatedly, I think my glasses prescription needs updating

if i see one more person say it's just a distraction i'm going to lose it

- played through to Act 3

i was told to drive out to Woodstock to get my license and I didn't listen-- I've heard that one is pretty calm

actually, apart from the horrors of the Schaumburg DMV where I got my driver's license, my illinois DMV experiences have always been pretty good
