I didn't much care for Alan Wake. It felt too repetitive, too derivative, with its inspirations too blatantly on its sleeve.
Alan Wake II, on the other hand, is one of the best god damn video games I've ever played.

Lots of Americans don't seem to care that their president rapes children, but higher gas prices may perhaps finally be a step too far.
TIL David Cronenberg has three kids and they are all also directors. #LetterboxdFriday
Bruce Campbell's statement about him being diagnosed with cancer.
Bruce Campbell might not be the best actor, but he's my favorite actor. And this is very hard to read. Though if he survived 50 years of being tortured by Sam Raimi, I'm sure he'll beat this thing's ass in no time.
So I can watch the first season of a show within my paid Prime subscription, but I have to pay extra to watch season 2?
Fuck this, I'm back to pirating.
I'd be more than OK with Ryan Coogler's The X-Files being its own thing. No Mulder/Scully cameo, no hints to the previous mythology, no revisiting of any of the old cases. Just keep all that in the past and preferably in its own universe.
Me thinking about the trans experience after watching I Saw the TV Glow.
I can't wrap my head around this premise. It feels to me as if Lee Chronin wanted to make another Evil Dead movie, this time about a kidnaped girl who gets possesed by Evil, but Sam Raimi said no, so he took it to Blumhouse where they slapped The Mummy IP on it...? But I guess we'll see.
I never got the hate for Godfather III, I love that movie. I recently watched the Coda version that's supposed to be much superior to the original cut, but I don't know. Both versions felt great to me.
The one question scarier than "what's all the things that Epstein has done?" is "who took his place after his death?"
David Cronenberg really did balance out the absolute grossness of The Fly by casting the most attractive (and tallest) power couple at the time for the lead roles.
As a big fan of Control as well as The Twilight Zone, this part of Alan Wake II really sold me.
According to Guardian, that's Belgian model Ingrid Seynhaeve. Though your photo looks a bit different and really quite similar to Bondi, so I'd guess it's an AI/Photoshop alteration. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
Important update:
Since this one quite unexpectedly became the object of interest for a few pitches Iβll refrain from self-publishing it for now.
Thereβll still be a comic campaign from me in May, but for a new horror anthology! Annoumcement February, Friday the 13th! Stay tuned!
The straight train tracks lead do Silent Hill, the curved train tracks lead to the Pathologic Town.
Jonathan Frakes (William Riker) and Brent Spiner (Mr. Data) have a podcast. They talk about Star Trek often enough, but it's not really about Star Trek. It's just old guys talking about life, sharing stories and inviting guests (first one being LeVar Burton β Geordi La Forge). And it's kinda nice.
Maybe in Fargo
Just another morning walk to the office.
I really like and admire Mike Flanagan, but I'm not so sure how he can improve on the perfection that is Frank Darabont's The Mist.
Thanks for the alt text. I thought he was holding a puzzle piece and was super confused.
Turning Point USAβs Halftime Show was crazy, man.
Film.

The word I'd use would sadly be "unsurprising".
Can the AI bubble burst already? This shit is exhausting.
Bruce Campbell's new passion project about a guy who needed his wife to die in order to start doing all the stuff that⦠Bruce Campbell already does in real life? Definitely intrigued.
The best thing I can say about Jurassic World Rebirth is that it sure does look like a movie.
