... that has any prospects, the Lib Dems. And the electorate have a long enough memory to remember (rightly and wrongly) being burnt by the coalition government.
I can see them ending up as maybe a junior partner again.

Greens aren't particularly sceptical about trade? They may be sceptical about big US megacorporations but... everyone should be? Also they seem to be turning away from their more NIMBY history, so... no they're not like Reform?
There's only one party currently remotely near the centre in England...
straightforwardly, unambiguously evil shit
Migration is part of what makes this country great.
We're not an island of strangers - we're an island of neighbours.
The Green Party will always support fair & managed migration.
Oh, so he's panicking about the elections now then
I feel like the US could do with some more disruptive weather right now π
The President of peace wants to start all of the wars apparently
I don't think it's something that would be trivial for individual users. Certainly someone could wrap an agent that has guardrails that make it sceptical and steer away from problematic ideation, but that requires extensive jailbreak testing. Could see someone offering that service though
Always impressed at the truly cursed houses you find
Still my favourite Sam Fisher actor
To be fair, this is one of the reason that despite it being the core part of my political platform for the best part of 10 years I don't really push that argument at the moment π
Zack on Laura K
The Green Party has been consistent on our position.
We support the Iranian people in their struggle against the brutal Regime.
And we oppose illegal bombing from the USA and Israel that has already killed countless civilians and risks an all out Regional war.
UBI would be ideal, yeah. It's been a little while since I've spent much time thinking about copyright reform, to be fair.
Sure that's fair. To be clear I'm against this too. I think copyright needs reform, but not for the sole benefit of the AI industry
We kinda already do though. Google Deepmind is in London, and Microsoft/OpenAI also have a London campus, partly to make it easier to pinch "talent". At least as far as Gemini is concerned we've been complicit from the start
So I might have the opposite problem π
I have so much storage but it's all currently being used, I need to plan where stuff is going and delete a whole bunch of shit
I think I also had problems getting grub and secure boot playing nice last time I tried, but that was long before it was made mandatory for Win11, maybe that's easier now
I've done it before, I think ended up in a similar place and I'm just remembering that as being enough of a nuisance I don't fancy doing it just yet. That plus cleaning up my storage and moving it over, lol. I have way too much capacity on my desktop
You know what won't stop attacks on British bases? Sending more attacks from them.
Love the idea of it, would consider using it again as a daily distro if/when I switch. Don't really want to fuck with dual booting but Windows is getting so unstable I'm kinda tempted
I ran Arch on my laptop for a bit, but have now learned that it basically becomes impossible to update if you let it go slack for, um, like 6 months because you so rarely use it
No more illegal wars. Introduce a prevention of military intervention act and put human rights at the heart of foreign policy. Review all UK arms sales and make us a force for international peace and justice.
The majority of people in this country do not want us to be involved in this war.
Keir Starmer of a few years ago wouldn't have supported this war.
The only reason he does now is he will do anything Donald Trump wants - and it makes us all less safe.
20 years is fucking wild. Some Brits don't end up committing to staying in the UK that long
Iran does actually have a right to defend itself, particularly from regional aggressors like Israel. Where's the evidence those missiles or bombs were imminently destined for the US?
Feels accurate, yeah
Brooker heard the sound of Apollo's dodgeball whanging through the air and decided to put his pen down
The Green victory in Denton is the result which will have the biggest effect on Labour, far more so than a Reform win.
The blithe assumption progressives have nowhere else to go has been proved catastrophically wrong.
Canβt help thinking of this quote from a Labour minister, a year agoβ¦
The Greens have some obvious policy weaknesses to attack, particularly around energy policy (Greens historically flaky on nuclear) and defense. But to capitalise on that Labour need to be a viable alternative. Something that things like the hostile environment and the war on trans rights has damaged
