Our paper, “The Accuracy Cost of Weakness: A Theoretical Analysis of Fixed-Segment Weak Labeling for Events in Time”, is now out in TMLR!
It explores tradeoffs in weak labeling for sound events and gives a theoretical basis for adaptive approaches.

Thank you for writing this book. I study machine listening methods for bioacoustics. Books like this help me understand the variety of animal sounds, which lead to development of more useful methods. And reading about sound and animals is always enjoyable. Look forward to reading it!

Yeah, I agree that it is not really built for large annotation projects in that sense. If you find what you are looking for, please write what you find in this thread! I'm also curious 😊
