If itβs good, why care where it came from? I get this is about passing of off as our own, but in the end, does that really matter?

Me too!
This is my #1 use of Claude desktop. I have it build visual explainers for all types of topics.
Itβs a similar problem at a different level of abstraction. Tossing words at a model and hoping to see something good is a foolβs errand. Giving it some detail and having it build something that would have taken you weeks in a couple of afternoons is where it feels amazing to me.
Thatβs false. Look at how many cities and towns police their Black citizens. There are still multiple law and amendment violations happening today. But, I will give you credit for seeing those other things as bad.
Thatβs a whole different conversation!
Iβm having lots of success using tools like Claude code to think, iterate on ideas, and write useful code. As someone who has been coding a very long time, this is a real improvement. The best part is that if I want to write something myself, I still can. But why? So many problems, so little time.
This is true. There is an art to it.
Traffic in that part of Maryland is already highly congested, so at the very least, people will have something to look at as they creep along at 10 mph.
Iβve been experimenting with what I called CIRs to help with this. blog.bryanl.dev/posts/change...
This is one reason for doc reads instead of presentations.
Letβs create a fund. Iβll match your initial contribution.
How is your running going? Are you still studying Chinese?
This is neat. Now Iβm over here trying to figure out how to make myself more productive. I saw a bug. If you run analytics in the tui before sync, you will get an error.
LinkedIn rewards you for posting consistently. I get better engagement than before, but itβs work. Also, these days, I wonder if I really want engagement these days.
In the United States, you have to take your race, ethnicity, and gender into the equation. Itβs not fair, but thatβs what it is. Iβd do the same if starting out today.
Iβm not calling you Blackstradamus.
My Spanish is good enough to not starve and find directions, but I was able to get the premise of the part about Hawaii. I enjoyed the show.
π
Thatβs not fair or true. Dookie had a couple. Time of your life. American Idiot. 4 easy ones.
Which of these items are free? The executors of the laws are skating a fine line to not violate poll tax laws. This hasnβt been fully tested. Your experience and mine will differ from folks in vulnerable situations.
Dope concept. If I were doing this series, Iβd screen cap instead of using the camera.
That sounds sustainable.
I swear thatβs a palm tree in the background. Also, itβs cold and gross in Minnesota this time of year.
Normally it is a violent crime. Armed robbery fits that definition. But civil asset forfeiture is legal and imho, indefensible. They are literal the same thing.
You still need to know how to write code π
I have this sneaking suspicion that a lot of people in tech don't know how tech actually works. You sitting down at a keyboard and write love letters (code) is a very small part of big success.
The same people who were selling digital monkeys and internet coins are now telling you they use GenAI to build code that they never read. I don't know how this story ends, but it's not one with a happy ending.
Did Jim Crow actually end?
How are you supposed to learn how to code if you canβt copy the code out of the back of a Byte magazine?
