LOL. I think TIPP skills aren't about soothing but shocking the system back to rhythm. Almost like a defibrillator of the emotional heart. ;p

Do you mean omurice?
I will eat my Japanese ketchup omelet rice any day. Someone else could keep their wet burrito.
Sounds like some kind of a slur π€¨
Consciousness is collective. It's embedded in history, cultures, relationships. Claude may learn about the history and relationships across time and space, but possession of megabytes of information isn't inherently mmeaningful. Consciousness to me carries meaning or moves us towards meaning.
It seems like we're dealing with probability than true proficiency at their job. Older politicians are more likely to get sick or die, but you can get cancer or hit by a truck in your 30s. Those who aren't in the GOP can still be like Fetterm*n.
Hard to stay hopeful sometimes.
That's why we're happy we could visit without renting a car. When we visited CA we rented a car. Gas was like 5.39 :-/ The last time it was 2.99 out there was 20 years ago.
Now that you mention it, I think so!
It's complicated but when it works (for the people who qualify and have access) it's pretty darn cool.
Oh no! It's been holding steady at 2.99 here. I should have done it but I am too lazy. Let's see what happens tomorrow.
Sesame Street!
Elmo and his Rocco issues, and Oscar the Grouch being grouchy.
Might not want to work with Cookie Monster because, well, he could have all the cookies. I don't care.
Algorithm is not nuanced.
That is why we need the human "touch"

I loved helping students. Faculty not as much. When I was a TA, I had a professor who would email at 3am, 5:30am, and would get upset if they didn't hear from me by 6:30am. :-/
Been a while since I was in academia but this made me wonder if this was either a pre-med or pre-law student, or a student athlete. π

LOL we aren't seeing lots of mallards yet. It's Canada geese everywhere.
I did stumble upon a few of my favorite ducks.
The midwest is seeing lots of pelicans, snow geese, and sandhill cranes right now.
Yeah I don't like to even photoshop my pictures. Cropping is the only thing I'd do, followed by, on rare occasions, increasing brightness. :(
I can't stand the AI stuff.
I thought the video clip was hilarious and adorable but now everyone's trash talking her π
That may be part of it. I seldom follow anyone with accounts that are strictly political. I do go and check things out from time to time. I am mostly too lazy to follow or follow back after the first few months.
I feel like I have more control (illusory?) over my algorithm here than previous platforms. I do get politics, but it's never forced upon me. I probably am getting more architectural posts about old churches than politics, tbh.
The original post they quoted mentioned how culture posts were lacking or lacking engagement.
Culture*, broadly defined and lived, not just written and analyzed, seems alive and well here (?)

"Parasocial interaction is a one sided relationship where an audience member feels familiarity, closeness, or emotional connection toward a public figure or creator." Wikipedia
Wait, is this a parasocial relationship? π
Same. It was really windy π
