With all the Framework Laptop 12 news this week, we haven’t forgotten Framework Desktop! We are closing in on the start of manufacturing. We’re also making great progress with our partners.
#Noctua_at designed an alternate side panel, and it turns out it’s 3D printable!

We just shipped out a large number of Framework Laptop 12 press review units! Reviews will go live and we’ll start shipping the first customer units in a couple of weeks. We’re excited to see what everyone thinks of it!
The LED matrix on the side of my laptop keyboard, with the three top rows lit up, dim at the sides, and bright at the center This means there are three podcasts waiting for me (except in this case, I explicitly told it to pretend there were three, because an all blank panel would not have made a very informative image).
My new @frame.work laptop has an LED panel (9×34) so I thought it would be fun to hook it into my podcast downloader, and have it indicate how many podcasts are waiting to be transferred to my iPod.
It's working pretty well.
We’re getting close to in-stock on the Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series)! We’ve fulfilled more than half of the pre-order batches, and pre-orders placed now will ship in June.
We built a semi-custom 400W FlexATX power supply with FSP for Framework Desktop to hit the power density and efficiency targets we needed. We wrote up a blog post going into the details.
