As a dev I wonder if it’s partly because (the royal) we speak so often in the language of other contemporary games and references? 🤔 Lots to unpack there.

It’s a fair point - my shelves of hundreds of books I will take years to read is a point of pride; I do feel a sense of “guilt” where it overlaps with authors I know via social media or something, but not the same way I’m like “ugh I haven’t played that.”
