Yeah it's a lot of fun. I'll probably do another playthrough at some point ๐

Also, my playtime was almost exactly 20 hrs. That felt right. I explored a lot though so I'm probably a bit slower than most. I felt like the game had excellent pacing overall and having the two protagonists worked really well.
I wonder if we'll get any dlc. Be interesting to see, as there are different story threads that they could pick up and run with.
Game #6 finished this year - Resident Evil: Requiem
Enjoyed this a lot. It felt like a really good blend of survival horror and action. Someone described it as like a "greatest hits of RE games". And I would have to agree. There's a lot of fan service here, especially with the story. In a good way.
Look, it's him..its *the* guy..๐
Good to see you ๐๐๐
Yeah screw that. I would've given up too.
Haha, yeah that sounds familiar ๐
Yeah I'm quite close to the end..I imagine. I don't actually know I'm just basing it on time spent so far in game (15 hrs) and how long people are saying it takes to complete. I'm always quite slow with games though so it's always 50% longer than usual for me.
I liked being aggressive with Grace ๐
๐
You and me both. But I'm reserving judgement until I finish the game. Plus I don't want to spoil anything for people still going through it for the time being.
Should be "Old Girl"..speech mark was in the wrong place.
Oh god that would just annoy me so much.
Oh no worries. It's not really a spoiler anyway as I'm talking about "Old Gir"l who you meet in the care center pretty much at the beginning of the game.
Yeah I've looked at ROUTINE a couple of times as it's been recommended to me on Steam. I always passed on it because it seemed a bit janky sounding. Now you've said that you refunded it, I'll probably just give it a permanent skip as well.
Ha..yeah. I'm less scared by horror now compared to how I used to be. The sections with you know who in RE9 I found more tense than scary. Still creepy though.
It's funny because I would much rather play a horror game than watch a horror movie. I still watch some but a lot less than I used to.
It's really great. I never used to bother playing demos but I've changed my mind in recent times. And I'm glad I did because I wouldn't have discovered games I'm looking forward to like Pragmata or Windrose without playing the demos first.
Let the demos continue.
Slay the Spire 2 comes out in early access tomorrow. Looking forward to it. Love the first game. It's probably my favourite rogue lite.
Let's hope it does come out this year then. I might even try it if it does. I'm getting a bit braver when it comes to that form of horror! ๐๐
Oh that's pretty cool if they are doing a sequel.
Wasn't the first game made by the same studio that does the TW games? Or am I misremembering that?
Very true, yes ๐
Ah, ok. Yeah my nephew was born in 89 as well. I'm right in the middle of Gen X - born in '72.
It sounds similar to my experience as we had neighbours we could go to as well. Actually 1 or 2 of them had keys to our house so could drop in and look out for us as well if my Mum was at work.
It's more of a Gen X term which is probably why you haven't heard it before. It's not something I've heard people use much anymore.
I was also a latchkey kid for some portions of my childhood. It was considered pretty normal when I grew up.
Oops..I just realised I wrote QTO. Can't bloody type properly clearly.
Yeah that sounds about right ๐
QTO with the last 4 games you played!
I like mixing things up. Currently playing the first game (and near the end of it).
I mean..that's just stupid. What did they expect? Hello Kitty Island Adventures? ๐
Definitely ๐
lol, a "no hair" day by the looks of it ๐
I know what you mean. I always try and acknowledge what the other person's said, otherwise I don't see the point. It's supposed to be social media, after all.
I sometimes get annoyed when I post something and get zero response...but it passes. So it goes.
Yeah sounds like a sensible plan ๐
I'll try not to! ๐
Yeah, true. You do streaming and video editing so you are actually pushing your pc in terms of power use. I leave mine on about 16 hrs a day but I've stopped using it as my work pc/coding station so it's mostly just a games machine now.
