Yeah that's a lot. I still have Sekiro on my list to play at some point. But I'll need to be in the right frame of mind for it.
And maybe finish Elden Ring as well..some day.

Yeah, I find that after playing (and finishing) a Souls game I'm exhausted due to all the adrenaline I'm expending to fight bosses etc.
So I just end up naturally having to take a break before playing another one as otherwise I'll probably just end up having a heart attack. Due to old age ๐๐
Yep, that's about the size of it! ๐
Damn. No Souls games? You must be getting withdrawal or something ๐
Exactly. You need a decent flow of air between intake and outtake as otherwise the pc can get too hot if you're not venting heat properly.
But you can set up pc's in a myriad of ways and sometimes people are strange about that. I've seen some weird setups over the years!
That will teach me to eat Pizza and Chocolate. I had horrible indigestion last night and went to bed in pain.
I should learn to steer clear of foods that give me gut issues but sometimes you just want to eat something dirty ๐
Even if it means suffering for a while.
I also had to edit the Windows registry to fix it. That isn't recommended but I know what I'm doing. Not everyone does so I do understand where you're coming from.
I like fixing problems though. It's similar to what I used to do as a coder for 24 years so I don't mind it. But everyone is different.
They generally all follow the same principles when it comes to fitting components. The tricky bit would be if something goes wrong as you might not know how to fix it. That comes down to experience.
My pc was hard freezing yesterday in PoE. I traced it to an AMD overlay issue but it took 1.5 hrs.
I had to replace one of my AIO (cpu cooler) fans because the rgb kept flickering. Lian Li sent me a free replacement under warranty, but I put off doing it for a long time as I knew it would be awkward to fit. It was. I had to take the whole AIO out to refit the fan. Not fun!
So I get it.
Yeah the rear fan is nearly always an exhaust fan. But, if you turn it around the opposite way and fit it facing outwards you can turn it into an intake fan. I don't recommend it though!
Yeah that's fair. I understand not everyone wants to tinker with pc stuff.
Good luck with this. I used to play TW: Rome back in the day on the Mac..before I started building pcs again. I liked it but I drifted away from the series over the years. I own TW Warhammer 2 and 3 (apparently I got that for free one day on Steam) but I just can't get into it. Tried a few times.
Is it one of the exhaust fans or front facing (intake) fans? Have you tried to tighten it? Obviously when the pc is off! Or do you not feel confident doing that?
Often you need a specific tool for that anyway as the screws can be on the small side.
Ah right, ok ๐
Yeah there's so many games to play but never enough time, right.
Well, hopefully it's nothing too bad then. Doesn't sound like it. Fans sometimes buzz like that but as long as it's not an obnoxious noise then it's not a major worry usually. The bearings can go on them over time but it will (usually) sound really bad if that's happening.
Hope the repair works out for you. What's actually wrong with your pc? I know you've mentioned something about boot issues before but is there anything else going on then? Other than the suspected CMOS battery issue.
It's great. I think you would like it. Are you going to play it yourself?
Yeah it's a lot of fun. I'll probably do another playthrough at some point ๐
Also, my playtime was almost exactly 20 hrs. That felt right. I explored a lot though so I'm probably a bit slower than most. I felt like the game had excellent pacing overall and having the two protagonists worked really well.
I wonder if we'll get any dlc. Be interesting to see, as there are different story threads that they could pick up and run with.
Game #6 finished this year - Resident Evil: Requiem
Enjoyed this a lot. It felt like a really good blend of survival horror and action. Someone described it as like a "greatest hits of RE games". And I would have to agree. There's a lot of fan service here, especially with the story. In a good way.
Look, it's him..its *the* guy..๐
Good to see you ๐๐๐
Yeah screw that. I would've given up too.
Haha, yeah that sounds familiar ๐
Yeah I'm quite close to the end..I imagine. I don't actually know I'm just basing it on time spent so far in game (15 hrs) and how long people are saying it takes to complete. I'm always quite slow with games though so it's always 50% longer than usual for me.
I liked being aggressive with Grace ๐
๐
You and me both. But I'm reserving judgement until I finish the game. Plus I don't want to spoil anything for people still going through it for the time being.
Should be "Old Girl"..speech mark was in the wrong place.
Oh god that would just annoy me so much.
Oh no worries. It's not really a spoiler anyway as I'm talking about "Old Gir"l who you meet in the care center pretty much at the beginning of the game.
Yeah I've looked at ROUTINE a couple of times as it's been recommended to me on Steam. I always passed on it because it seemed a bit janky sounding. Now you've said that you refunded it, I'll probably just give it a permanent skip as well.
Ha..yeah. I'm less scared by horror now compared to how I used to be. The sections with you know who in RE9 I found more tense than scary. Still creepy though.
It's funny because I would much rather play a horror game than watch a horror movie. I still watch some but a lot less than I used to.
