From an ML view, workers lead the economy only when political and economic power are unified. A vanguard party is the organized expression of that power. If the state refuses economic coordination, isolated workplaces end up reproducing market pressures. That’s the contradiction I’m pointing out.

The idea of separating the state from economic power and having the classes ‘cooperate’ sounds closer to what historically was called class-collaborationism (similar to early Italian corporatism), where the state sits ‘above’ class conflict instead of resolving it. That’s not within Marxist theory.
