I have done this for one of the Edexcel Foundation Mock Sets and think my group will find it useful as a scaffold. www.mrchapmanmaths.com/revision

Much respect for @fryrsquared.bsky.social but I'm not convinced English Lang / Lit GCSE is a good analogy. Fair bit of hate out there for the nebulous nature of GCSE Lang.
Science has been struggling with this question for whole of the C21st. Might be a better comparator.

Another way in which Trump closely resembles Putin and other dictators is that when he is scared, he is dangerous.
With public support in freefall, and with heat from the Epstein Files increasing despite his attempts to obstruct their release, Trump has started a needless war with Iran.

A slide showing different examples of making questions more engaging by re-wording the instructions for the task. For example, instead of "calculate the following", ask "which of these have the same answer?"
A slight change of wording is a quick win to ask more engaging questions.
Here are a few simple examples.
Just cannot believe how Stormzy is now.

I don't share all the dogs we find.
I haven't share this elderly girl that was hit by a truck a month ago. Simply because it was too sad and I didn't think she'd make it. Nobody needs to see that.

One of the first signs of spring is the sleepy emergence of Mr Simon from his burrow, where he has been hibernating through the winter months.
Soon his territorial song will be drifting through the park, hoping to keep other ice cream vans away.
I've just updated my topic analysis tool. Not only does it highlight key topics that have appeared since 2022, it also shows the grade distribution over the years. Hopefully useful to share with Y11s.
