Imo Gonzales barely moves well enough for 2b unless he was battling injury last yr.

And even if his decline was caused 100 percent by age and 0 by the hip (I think we can blame the hip like 80 pct), hes still probably one of the best hitters on the team and is probably some of the best hitting that 12 million can buy. Projections prefer his hitting to Suarez for example.

Even if his bat speed was down in April, he still mashed to a 402 woba and .425 xwoba in April.

His April 2024 gave a .436 woba and .463 xwoba.

So his 2024 self kinda has some bat speed and productivity to spare.

Its okay if his bat speed isnt at 2024 level because his 2024 level was *superstud*.
