It really does depend on troop leadership in both orgs. I have 2 GS that also did scouting for many years in elementary school. I was lucky enough that when they decided to drop one, they dropped Scouts and stuck with us in GS!
My Girl Scouts really loved them too - they even did a promo video for the Exploremores cookies!

The general public is kinda ignorant that Girl Scouts is K-12. There is a big drop off at Middle School (busy with other activities, lose interest) so they don’t see them as much. If you find older Girl Scouts in the wild -thank them for STILL being Girl Scouts (their mom/leader might shed tears 🥺)
