My brother, we had to explain a 1/3 pound burger was bigger than a quarter pound burger and still failed

Went back home to Galway for the weekend, they don't tell you this but they have the Saw Doctors playing N17 on the banjo when you cross over the border
Just had to look this up because I quit twitter years ago... extra dot ie are bigger idiots for giving that unnamed TD a chance to air their grievances about the issue. It's total manufactured American culture war bullshit
My 9 favourite games: Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) Just Cause 2 (2010) Mercenaries: Playground Of Destruction (2005) Disco Elysium (2019) Mass Effect 2 (2010) The Walking Dead season 1 (2012) Fallout: New Vegas (2010) Alpha Protocol (2010) Hitman: World Of Assassination (2016- present day)

More songs should start like Monkey Gone to Heaven. "There was a guy." Ok I'm listening, what's this guy up to
Γ RΓordΓ‘in has been banging this drum for over a year now - Fine Gael's grouping in the European Parliament is increasingly working in lockstep with the far-right in the European Parliament and taking Trump's side on major issues (immigration and climate change, notably)
Covered the protest by special needs assistants outside the DΓ‘il last week, and it has become clear that the austerity mindset is still present in the civil service and within the halls of government. #Speirgorm dublinpeople.com/news/dublin/...

Media Matters analyzed a year of NYT coverage of anti-trans bills and found that 66% of the time the paper didn't quote a trans person. Further, it found that the paper often quoted right wing sources without mentioning their histories of anti-trans rhetoric.
So "right-wing rag" is pretty accurate.
Modern America has such a sickness that gamblers are literally making a profit based on the suffering of others. Real Gilded Age vibes coming from that side of the Atlantic now
This explains all of her output since 2013, honestly

I'm regularly told my BA in Business/Film is a mickey mouse degree... Despite the film industry being one of the biggest ones on the planet, and a huge industry in the UK.
STEM research keeps you alive, but arts make it worth being alive.
I'm still gonna call it NUIG when I'm 80, like how old Dubliners still call Dublin City Council "the Corpo"
I say this as someone who dropped out of an arts degree at NUIG, but it would be foolish to get rid of an arts course in such an artistic city. This American style laser focus on STEM and business among our youth is a race to the bottom. Look to the UK if you want an example of an artless society
It was Bluesky wot won it... this should be a lesson to Labour (and indeed, Ireland's political parties) to stop thinking that Twitter reflects real life and that progressive minded people use social media and, gasp, vote too
Any teacher or SNA I've spoken to have told me the same thing - the Department Of Education is still operating as if the crash has just happened and austerity measures are still in place. This is in a country where we hear about strong GDP growth and budget surpluses. Something has to give.
I don't really discuss this, but in my school days I needed the support of an SNA during summers, needed extra time in exams, needed "quiet rooms" for sensory reasons, I did my LC in 2015 and even then, there was a sense that austerity was harming people like me. Nothing has changed in a decade +

Protest outside the DΓ‘il at the planned SNA cuts. Reps from SF/SD/Green/PBP/LAB and independents are speaking, alongside parents, union reps. Very potent campaign forming, this cuts across party, class and society. #Speirgorm
Wrote about the Ireland/Israeli matches setting off a political firestorm; Brian Kerr has called on the FAI to "show a bit of balls" and not play in the fixtures, but the official government line is "there is no Irish boycott of Israel" dublinpeople.com/news/sport/a...
Recent flooding on Dublin's Northside has called the government's commitment to tackling climate change into question, and has raised questions about Ireland's councils being stretched to the limit in terms of disaster management dublinpeople.com/news/northsi...

Is the American economy really in that dire a state that people are betting money on what raindrop reaches the bottom of the window first? Why has the betting thing exploded since Trump won again?
