That's the dream, but I worry Six Flags, at a corporate level, doesn't seem to see any value in entertainment or really even special event investment right now. Would be surprised to see SFGAdv invest in those offerings in the immediate term. 🙁

Fairy Tale House
Fairy Tale House Spider
Clowntown Entry
Clowntown Scarezone
This is ESPECIALLY true during Halloween when they've consistently offered *FAR* better FrightFest houses and scarezones than you could find at the nearby Great Adventure and, oftentimes, Busch Gardens Williamsburg too.
Lost Spirits Show
Don't know who in the industry needs to hear this, but I hope that the entertainment team members at Six Flags America find good homes in the industry. What they're consistently able to pull off with LITERALLY PENNIES is *REALLY* impressive. They've always punched WAY above their weight/budget.

Something like 20 operating hours remain for Six Flags America. 😥
Anyone else planning to make it out for the closing day next weekend?
Scoop: Rocky Mountain Construction is planning to build a 45ft tall Wild Moose prototype at their Idaho headquarters! This will likely be a small test track similar to what RMC built while developing the Raptor. No matter the scale, it will be exciting to see an ACTUAL Wild Moose in action! 🫎
Historically it has varied by park and by day I believe. Current plan as far as I know for #KingsDominion specifically is between $10 and $25 per day.
Additionally, we have seen evidence that The Conjuring Universe IP is coming to at least a couple legacy Cedar Fair parks—namely we've seen evidence for The Conjuring at #CanadasWonderland and #Carowinds with an attraction called "The Conjuring: Beyond Fear."
SCOOP: Legacy Six Flags-style haunted house upcharges appear to be on their way to a number of legacy Cedar Fair parks this year. At minimum we have seen solid upcharge plans evidence for #CanadasWonderland, #Carowinds #KingsDominion, and #WorldsOfFun.
We've been implementing some new security measures to hopefully stop all of the AI bot scrapers from harvesting all of our discussions to use as training data. @gavinmcnabb.com looked into your case just now and thinks he fixed the issue, but if not, please let us know! Lots of tweaking to do!
Yep, it is.
I wish we had happier news this Christmas Eve but... 🙁
Big news tomorrow. See you then.
Oh, I completely agree. These will be huge in commercial settings. Advertising opportunities are endless. Tons of applications I can imagine for themed environments, museums, theater, etc too.
But yeah, as a consumer product, any tech without a clear and desirable media purpose is DOA in my opinion
Even 3D TVs had some purpose—allowing the viewing of content in a format that was otherwise impossible at home. Very little of that content existed and delivery of said content was never solved, but at least there was a content purpose.
Translucent TVs just make normal content worse. SUPER doomed.
That command prompt error is hilarious. 🍿
Unfortunately true. It seems to be the park's last priority to staff/greentag each day. 🙁
Writing is ALL OVER the wall re: its demise. I hope it gets at least one more season though!
Come out to SFA and we'll get you on the best of the Vekoma Flying Dutchmans before it's too late!
I LOVE the Vekoma Flying Dutchmans. I have yet to find any coaster that gives the feeling the vertical loops on the Dutchmans provide. I really, really hope Batwing has a 2025 season. I need to get as many rides as possible in before it's too late.
Yikes. Another unannounced attraction bloodbath out of the new Six Flags chain in '25. If it can happen at Carowinds—the center of a lot of focus & investment by Cedar Fair recently—it could happen ANYWHERE. Other parks should be shaking in their boots right now. 😬

Chester's & Hester's See Y'All Real Soon Sign
Not this time Chester & Hester, not this time.
Hard Rock, as a brand, is honestly super underappreciated from a themed entertainment standpoint. Things like the loaner guitars delivered to rooms, little music-themed jokes and puns everywhere you look at the resort, GREAT themed merch, etc. really set it apart IMHO.
I'm terrified of what the loss of the water (and likely some of the tree cover) is going to do to the ambient temperatures on the paths in the area. We DO NOT need more scorching, heat-stroke-inducing, Tomorrowland-like atmosphere in Magic Kingdom.
The MK darkrides have been ROUGH today. Multiple major, spotlight figures are just completely nonfunctional. More minor effects broken as well of course, but seeing major figures just frozen is a horrible look. 🙁
NO KACHOW 😤
Areas dedicated solely to exploration & adventure are so rare nowadays—in & out of parks. I feel like my childhood was full of things like that—and they're basically all long dead and gone now. Tom Sawyer's Island is not only one of the few left, but it's one that entire families can enjoy together.
Rivers of America from a Tom Sawyer's Island Raft
The Liberty Belle from Tom Sawyer's Island
Windmill from Tom Sawyer's Island
The loss of "distraction and diversion-type" attractions like the Liberty Square Riverboat & Tom Sawyer's Island really harm the Magic Kingdom in my opinion, but at least I can understand the financial calculation.
What I find completely unfathomable is the removal of Rivers of America. 🙁
Expedition Wild Africa Safari Ride
But hey, at least I get to ride Tampa's other Rhino Rally! (RIP 👑)
Tasmanian Tiger Roller Coaster
Out at ZooTampa for my coaster count +1. I think Tasmanian Tiger is the largest Wisdom Rides coaster I've hit and... yikes. It really tracks spectacularly poorly. 😖
Christmas decorations at Disney's Vero Beach Resort
For the record, Wind & Waves is very good. Disney does a great job with the Christmas decorations around the lobby at the Vero Beach Resort as well. Underrated stop!
