dplyr 1.2.0 is out now and we are SO excited!
- `filter_out()` for dropping rows
- `recode_values()`, `replace_values()`, and `replace_when()` that join `case_when()` as a complete family of recoding/replacing tools
These are huge quality of life wins for #rstats!

Promotional image for webRios showing the app icon and an iPhone displaying the R console. The console shows example R commands with syntax highlighting: basic arithmetic (1 + 1), a print statement saying 'Hello from iOS!', a warning message in orange reading 'Uh-oh, I'm in the Apple-verse?', an error message in red with the HAL 9000 quote 'I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.', and a plot command.
webRios is live. #rstats on your iPhone and iPad.
I showed native R compilation on #iOS last week. Shipping it is another story (thanks, GPL). This version uses #webR 's #WebAssembly build instead. Different tradeoffs, but this one clears App Review.

See, you *could* get colored filament, orrrr you could paint your things! My husband has an airbrush station set up next to his printer π
I got my husband one for his birthday last week! One thing he told me was that the filament that came with his machine sucked and he was happy I got him a separate pack. I also constantly see him looking up specs. Heβs now printing us random stuff for around the house π
I fight to try to get there everyday π
This resonates so hard π

Life's been extremely difficult lately, especially when your progress and efforts... feels under constant assessment. I made this to let myself code with no pressure. I'm calling it 'release.' A reminder that even in the darkest phases, there's light on the horizon. Messy Code: tinyurl.com/dy7zc2mz
Absolutely! Just give me a ping when you'd want a review. I'm going to fork it now.
I think this is awesome! I am seeing a β¨tinyβ¨ bit of coverage that's missing on codecov. Are you open to getting a hand with that? Or is it not covered because you're still thinking through some things? If so, I'd be more than happy to help. But if not, I think it's great as is honestly!
I had a similar comment after testing it out. Beginner Meghan would have needed something more obvious to catch my eye because "it's just a warning, it's fine" used to be my motto way back when lol π
Happy 2026! π
My resolution: put @dslc.io on a sustainable footing.
Iβm soft-launching our Patreon to cover costs (Zoom, hosting, etc). If you love #TidyTuesday, our Slack help, or our book clubs, you can be an early supporter before the official launch Monday!

A festive digital illustration features the blue R logo wearing a red Santa hat with white trim on the left. To its right stands a green Christmas tree made entirely of curly braces arranged in a triangular shape. White and light-blue %>% pipe symbols float across a dark blue, starry background like snowflakes. A speech bubble above the R logo says βHo Ho Ho! π¦β in red text. At the bottom, white text reads: βR Package Development Advent Calendar 2025β and below it, β25 Days of Coding Magic β’ Dec 1β25.

I just need 1 more dataset for #TidyTuesday 2025! Thank you so much to those of you who have submitted datasets!
The submissions have allowed me to make progress on a long-planned huge maintainability and usability improvement for TT, coming in 2026!
I'm excited to announce the newest release of {tidypredict}!
This release brings for standardization to outputs, faster trees for parsing and prediction, and glmnet support
