FWIW, a lot of how I judge people is based on giving the benefit of the doubt, and looking at the spectrum of how many bad things they do and how consistently they do it... YMMV. (As someone who believes animals are sentient and shouldn't be killed, it would be a very lonely life otherwise 😂)
I dunno, maybe I haven't kept up with it all, but I feel a lot of this Radiohead thing is overblown? I think the worst of it is some both-sidesism, and reacting badly (tho perhaps not unexpectedly) to being told what they should do? I'd say much of the former is Greenwood and band not upsetting him?

Seen a couple of Facebook posts by MAGA influencers (yes, my algorithm is trash) criticizing Radiohead for their cease and desist against ICE using their music in social media posts.
The comments from MAGAts were all like "Another old band desperate to be famous again!" and I was like, 'uhh, what?'

The authoritarian capitalist tradition is obsessed w sci-fi and fantasy--in part because they've not read much of any real philosophy. But they love imagining that Heinlein, Rand, Pournelle... were doing philosophy.
