On International Womenβs Day itβs great to remember that Grunya Sukhareva identified Autism before Kenner (100 years ago), identified that Autism presented regardless of sex, and that it is a spectrum.

I'm usually late getting news. I limit the times of day I catch up.
I've seen the news now about the black rain in Tehran.
If you know me, you know how passionate I am about water. People close to me have listened to me talk about it more than they ever wanted.
I don't have words for this.

This is so messed up I'm surprised I didn't think of it.

Daylight Saving Time is a myth.
Tell your boss the only rhythms you respond to are the eternal ebb and flow of the sea and the sleep cycles of the ancient creatures that slumber in the deep and dark places of the world.

I haven't taken care of my plants yet today. I'm sure I'll feel at least a little refreshed after I do. The plants take care of me more than I take care of them.
Y'all, it's Sunday and I'm already wondering how much more of this week I can carry.

I told her I do, and that Jack also knows that, and that it's important that this one is. She looked unsure. So I explained what's happening in the story, and she not only decided it makes sense, but also got real interested in how things play out!
I checked with a family member to make sure I wasn't confusing donkeys and mules when I was writing this. I didn't want the wolf to be as big as a mule. Might as well just go with a horse then, and that was way too big!
She said, "You do know a big wolf is still smaller than a donkey, right?"

if i tell you this story, you mustn't tell anyone else i used to think watching out meant keeping something safe. but mostly it means consequence. habitsβ margin notes. adaptation checking itself. what survives between me and you becomes the record.

It's ok to not feel ok.
It's ok if your antlers haven't grown in yet.
It's ok if you can't shape-shift into a raven.
It's ok if you haven't haunted the night for a while.
I know you're doing your best, and that's all any of us can do right now.
Anyway, some of you need to read this essay I wrote two years because holy shit the sexism coming out of you damn mouths right now.
And, no, I'm not talking about cis men here.

When that's how things are going for me, I choose one thing that I can focus on quickly for joy. It doesn't fix anything, but it helps me get through it.
Elephants. Honestly, I focus on how wonderful it is to be on the same planet as elephants.
This wasn't just a one day thing, and you don't have to start an account just to read it.
Black and white photo of four kittens spilling out of a basket that seems to be partially full of sticks or vines or something. Theyβre all short haired, and there is a black haired tuxedo, two tabbies, and what looks like a white and calico. Two of them look remarkably grumpy, and the other two seemed kind of blank and possibly confused.
Historians agree that the real Pandoraβs Box was likely a basket of grumpy kittens. Postcard from my collection, mailed 1904.

I dont want anyone telling me we cant afford shit when we are able to drop billions of dollars on a fucking random ass war for no reason.
